It's funny because in other threads they argue that using "they/them" for someone you suspect is trans is transphobic murder. For example, a good way to cause excelsiorlef to sperge for a few pages is to refer to them with they/them pronouns.

The "only slaps on the hand" in this case are because Miller is only charged with some relatively minor crimes and has simply refused to return to the jurisdictions, he's not been charged for nearly all of the things that have been in the news the last few months. They seem to be under the impression that Vermont should (or would, if he was Black, trans-passing and/or poor) form a manhunt to chase Miller all over the planet for burglary.

Our progressive forum here wants someone imprisoned (some were advocating for life in the prior thread) without charges because he's mentally unwell.

Rose and Jed Walker, Hector Hall, and Unity Kinkaid got "race swapped" because they made the first one Black, somewhat requiring them to do the rest (and future characters), so now this idiot is reading the entire storyline as some kind of nefarious anti-Black plot because they cast a Black woman as one of the most prominent characters.

edit: Unless he's talking about Lucienne the librarian? Which would also be funny. Maybe Death too? Hell, he's probably reading all of these as anti-Black when the storyline looks like it's mostly just the same as the comic was.

I'm trying to figure out how in the hell anyone can say the ONLY safe parts of Illinois are in and around Chicago. And I would guess it's because to them "safe" means "not right wing." Of course they're much more likely to be physically harmed in Chicago than outside of it, but they wouldn't "feel" safe in the rural parts because they don't like the people that live there.

How is this not just calling it as they see it? They even called Bridget "her"! I agree that not just any character should be trans just as not just any anime character needs a "blackwash" edit. Like , you know how the blackwash artists always seem to pick the worst possible characters to make black (criminals, characters with anger issues, characters who aren't even human)? In that same way, Bridget being trans isn't really the problem (at least across most of the comments I've seen), it's the implications behind it that some people, even people in the LGBT+ community, have a problem with.

Yes. Red tint/negative numbers is net population leaving, Blue tint/positive numbers is net population inflow. So California and is losing people New York is losing many more people, Nevada, Oregon, Washington, Arizona etc. are being flooded, most likely with the people leaving California or New Mexico.
