What the fuck do they define as a "reaction thread" they say it's against the rules and tend to close threads with opinions that swerve from the mods and use that as reasoning. As far as I can tell it just means someone posting a thread about something that isn't in a "main thread" or OT and seems to only be used in the gaming section.

They mean don't make a thread commenting on something else happening on the forum. It's another rule from NeoGAF that they adopted.

Really, the rule should just be don't be starting shit, but they're all obsessed with trying to divine people's thoughts so they think it's a problem if a thread causes you to think of some larger question and you don't derail the thread but instead create a thread just about that question. It must instead be some secret plot to harm someone. RedMercury actually got clipped for this the other week when his "reaction thread" was arguably a pretty reasonable question (for him anyway) about standards on the forum.

And like all rules, it's mostly enforced in a way so they can shut down any debate or discussion about what the jannies do.

Several articles I've seen have already spread into Twitter and the leftwing sites that I've seen. And become popular talking points.

1. Kiwifarms has a kill counter (on the front page)
I'm sure someones mentioned it as a joke at some time, but no, there is no kill counter.

2. Kiwifarms actively organized swatting.
One of the main rules on the KF is no interaction, you face ridicule and a possible ban if you participate in this.

3. Kiwifarms targets LGBT/Jews/Disabled.
It's not our fault these groups seem to have the largest cases of being terminally online and oversharing. But we also cover right wing "cis" figures like Fuentes and EthanRalph.

4. Internet Archive deleted their archives of KF because it has doxxing information.
Impossible, since doxxing information is hidden behind the member wall, no doxxing information can be scraped because they aren't logged in.

5. Kiwifarms has killed people.
KF keeps exhaustive records of every lolcow even after they supposedly "die", if we killed someone, we'd be the first to know, not some hearsay from 2 years later. Give us some credit.

See, that's what I thought it was but in reality they primarily use it on threads that are reacting to news about video games or opinions on them. Here is a recent one I noticed:

If someone has a history of having an enormous number of sexual partners and a history of sexual promiscuity, and I do not want to form a partnership or family with that person, then I AM THE BAD GUY?

The funny thing is they never mention the one suicide that you could claim KF was "responsible" for: LOWTAX.

He doesn't fit the victim profile they have in mind so they're all whatever I guess.
