This is what's really truly offensive about them (Nepenthe's just the blatantly worst offender), they wiki-skimmed all these Marxist/leftist/subaltern/etc. theories to act like they're omniscient intellectuals but none of them have ever even once thought about even that surface level version of any of them. Nepenthe once linked to some nutty Black Marxist screed as if it was the font of all wisdom but it was obvious she hadn't even read it (or at minimum did not understand it) because she didn't get the obvious thesis of it right and assumed the woman was saying some nonsense Nepenthe already believed.

The funny thing about this is just how few modern women wear dresses. 80% of women, more realistically 95% wear jeans/yoga pants/leggings in the winter, short shorts in the summer. A lot of chicks don't like the idea of a strong wind blowing up the bottom, prefer sitting cross-legged without exposing themselves, or just prefer pants(We aren't that far away from the generations where skirts were practically mandatory, so pants/shorts were actually liberating and equal for women). They steer towards dresses because it's so un-masculine & transgressive, and have zero cultural awareness.
