A bunch of threads that might be worth keeping an eye on.

Palworld is out in early access. It's a pokemon parody with guns and slavery. As soon as the game was a smash hit, various discord servers started passing the news that the "pal" designs were plagerised from real pokemon. Linking this ResetEra thread that is now locked.
There's not much to it. Someone on Twitter accused the dev of stealing their design, but the design was shown a year before the Twitter artist posted theirs. So the thread was locked and that was that.

But as usual, the goal posts moved and more accusations started. This time that he used AI and once had some involvement with crypto. But most users are just ignoring them and enjoying the game.

One of the funniest things about the Palworld outrage is resident black furry Nepenthe is outraged over the supposed plagiarism when not even a month ago she was outraged in the opposite direction when Claudine Gay was ousted for plagiarism.

What I don’t get is why do these communists even care about plagiarism? They don’t believe in personal ownership anyway. So what’s the problem with borrowing a comrade’s work and making something fun with it?

Whats funny about this is that the lead character designer is a fakemon artist who never got hired. Like almost all of anti-pocket pair crap is based off of lies, the person who did the model comparison admitted to rescaling the models, Craftopia being a cut and run affair is lie, they just released a bug patch on the 24th or 23rd and a major feature patch a couple of months ago; are some of the Pals deliberately evocative of Pokémon? Sure that's sorta the point you get the concept.
