It's not in effect currently apparently so don't think much of it. As far as I understand it's a plan to make the Electoral College more centered around a national popular vote in United States presidential elections.

So this guy entered illegally and skirted by the system, then get allowed to stay by pure luck?

I'm not gonna say get rid of the fuck if he's an otherwise law abiding citizen but ultimately this is the risk he took. He took a shortcut instead of coming here properly, which undermines the plight of the people that do (successfuly and unsuccessfully).

I have family members who have moved to other countries for some periods of time and had to go through visa processes and what not, don't really have sympathy for people who cheat systems. Immigrate the right way or else you have no right to complain.
