One of my friends is an alcoholic. He's been one as long as I've known him, going on 13 years. He's great when He's on the wagon, and he can be on the wagon for years, but the moment he has one drink, one fucking drink, He's gone. He'll drop everything and proceed to get blackout drunk for like a week at a time. He's separated from his wife and daughter, lives in a shitty trailer park, has lost 3 jobs, and was just on the sauce again and missing for the last two weeks before we found him again. Alcohol is going to kill him, and it's hard to watch. You cannot let these people have a drop of it. I wouldn't even want him to have the na beer.

Addictions a bitch. When his body is telling him he needs it its hard to override that command. I had similar issues with my dad when I was growing up and it took a long time for him to kick the habit.
