Most of the stuff people blame porn for is really just the consequence of spending too much time indoors in front of a screen, and not enough time outside getting some exercise, touching grass, etc.

That said, though, this specific thing does honestly seem to be (AFAICT) the result of too much jacking it to porn.

Back in the day thousands of people were banned for calling people NPCs and the Babylon Bee was banned for misgendering. So no, it's not remotely the same. You can still get axed for going too wild though.

ResetEra's morals end when even the most mild disruption to blind consoomerism begins. It's literally the site's only guiding star, they are desperate to recapture the lightning in a bottle that NeoGAF was.

It is funny seeing them deal with the cognitive dissonance of buying into the propaganda that Xbox is "customer-friendly" but on their shit list for not supporting their cause of the hour.

Especially funny since multiple mods there were paid Xbox shills until the Ambassador program ended, and therefore can't ban Xbox discussion completely without endangering their control of the board they turned into a cheerleading echo chamber for the brand.

Surprising that they read tickets tho. The people i know all have had their ticket closed on them after two weeks without a word. MrCuddles is absolutely right though about the product advocacy and shilling. You can't ask for any advice there without retards plugging the thread with referrer links.

Again this is all in the hands of the moderatoriat, when you police and punish everything under the sun (indeed, to the point that generals try to stay hidden from moderators and their hall-monitor army) then every instance of inaction becomes implied endorsement.

Ree also has a rule against criticzing games journalists.

It is all an effort to keep the devs and "journalists" who joined from leaving, as some flounced off of GAF due to not being able to handle criticism.
