Lame, the SCOTUS ruled on the case and basically said lower courts cant issue injunctions that universally pause an executive order nationwide, only SCOTUS can. They didn't actually rule on birthright citizenship. Most of the site is too dumb to realize thats almost always how its worked. 99.9% of the US will go their entire lives without knowing, understanding, or being affected by this ruling, but theyre very upset.

I love how they conflate all immigrants. They refuse to learn the difference between legal immigrants and illegal aliens.

These are the people who insist you can't ignore the courts.

They pretty much already do this. A district judge doesn't just issue a nationwide, or even a statewide, injunction on the new gun ban du jour preemptively. No. You need to go to court, get convicted of the possession, then go alllllllll the way through the appellate courts, as an individual, before your gun ban law, and the conviction coming from it, gets overturned, if it ever does.

Then they just pass another gun control law and the process starts over.


Watching leftists become strict constitutionalists on the topic of birthright citizenship, after spending the last 15yrs (or really, much longer) insisting that I'm not entitled to equal protection under anti-discrimination law, and that it's okay to ban guns in violation of 2A, is... both hilarious and frustrating. I can't fully describe it, but it's both at the same time.
