There are no rewards for PVP per se, it just lets you steal other people's loot. So the optimal strategy for everyone is to cooperate - there is enough loot to go around so you have higher EV helping each other. You need to cooperate with pubbies to bag big arcs. For it to be a pvp game you need some reasons to pvp each other which I'll assume they'll add some point soon.
The reactions you get from some people for daring to PVP in a PVP game are worth more than any loot.
Sure, there seems to be no real incentive to kill other players aside from just the thrill of the hunt. Nonetheless, it is a known gameplay system regardless how it is implemented into the game. I just find it hilarious that you shouldn't engage with it because some snowflake has the opinion, which he present as factual knowledge and behavior everyone has and applies, that it is mean to kill other players since it would be disrespectful towards other people's time. The pvp component isn't some alternative mode, it's there all the time so it is fair game to just shoot some twat because I want to. It's a fucking extraction shooter, after all. You can certainly argue that it is a dick move to do that after you told someone you are friendly, but even then, it's a dog-eat-dog world. If someone wants to run around and ruthlessly murder every other player, that's cool.
Era's irrational and seething hatred for AI is quite amusing, but if it's lazy and out of place like in this case, than the criticism is justified.
Totally, but i have a hard time getting too upset, it's not like cod games were ever anything but slop. AI is replacing work that is already mass-produced slop. The fact that their shitty art assets are generated with AI then touched up by a burnt-out creative is not noticeably better to me than the burnt-out creative palette-swapping existing asset templates to create shitty art. ARC raiders ripping off Simon Stalenhag feels way worse bc they could have just hired him as a consultant and tossed him 50-100k and got some good art direction out of him.
Whiny baby gets "only" $290 in food stamps a month? That would cover my personal food bills easily, and I eat well -- high protein, high carb (for resistance training,) low sugar, low fat, all macronutrients in check. I got bored not too long ago and wanted to figure out how much I was spending a day on food, supplements, and even electricity costs in preparing said food: between $8 and $9 a day, depending on meal choices.
As far as I know, its just those dumb banners which really dont matter, just throwaway art.
