It's the last gasp of a dying site. At this point even if it keeps going, it'll be the broken shell, a shambling corpse. At this point it's dead, it's just twitching.
 
When /pol/ on 4chan was deleted, the users fled to other boards, infecting them with autism.

When the bronies were storming the the site, /mlp/ was made to contain them.

I can imagine more scenarios like this, but what no one realizes here as much as they want to dance on the grave of NeoGAF is that when they finally shut down, the resulting explosive impact will tear other sites apart. NeoGAF was a containment site, an entire Auschwitz dedicated to video game autism and SJW cancer. It was contained and easy to document.

If that's gone, you know how shittier eveything's gonna be?

Given what an echo chamber NeoGAF was, it's likely what where ever they head next they will either be turned away en masse, forced to integrate, or set up shop in one place for a few more years until the cycle repeats.

At the very least once Neogaf is gone, that will be one less industry influencer in the gaming industry.
