You'd think after 48+ hours of being down, he would have clued the remaining mods/new mods in on what the new rules were gonna be, and they would have had an opportunity to decide whether they wanted to stick around or not.

This is the worse decision and worst planning imaginable.

No Modus was another mod from ages back around Amirox's time as mod as well I think. But it's possible that they are getting mixed up with Ami (though there was no mistake with Modbot, he maliciously edited posts to his whims and got caught out doing it)

EvilLore should realize he literally can't win anymore. He drove away all the people that would have treated him fairly, everyone that sympathized with him will cannibalize him for brownie points in the face of the allegations, to which he responded like your stereotypical MRA dudebro, and there's no way to rebuild quick enough with his retarded registration system.

Everyone outside of NeoGAF thinks it is shit.

If anything he should pull the plug on the entire thing, maybe that way he could retain some semblance of dignity, if he had any at all.

What I'd probably do is just open up registration to everyone. Sure, the trolls will pile in, but fuck it, that's ad revenue. At which point one of two things will happen. Either legitimate video game discussion will spontaneously happen at which point you could go back to make it a workable business model. Or they'll get bored and quit, which is basically what's gonna happen anyway but you might get a few more months of money out of it.

Here's the thing: GAF is fucked either way. And I mean that.
Let's do a breakdown:

1. GAF GOES BACK TO SOCJUS HAPPY LOCKED CLOSET FORUM

Analysis:If GAF goes back to full SocJus Locked Closet land, the SJWs are happy but not until Evilore steps down. Because he's a rapist by their own value system, which has the hilariously Christian practice of thinking something being as bad as actually doing the deed.
The site has no teeth at this point. It can't even pretend to care about games anymore, and no one is going to support NeoGAF after its very public and hilarious meltdown.

Result: NeoGAF loses its ability to witch-hunt gaming professionals out of the industry, essentially becomes an even bigger shithole than it was, and the only way Evilore maintains control is via proxies. The site ceases to be profitable or useful and is ultimately abandoned because the normies want nothing to do with it.


2. GAF TRIES TO GO BACK TO ITS ROOTS

Analysis: If GAF tries to return to its Game Forum roots, the SJWs leave in droves but the site may actually win back some of the oldfags who otherwise would have posted and didn't. This is offset by the fact that no one trusts Evilore not to do the same shit all over again, so even those who would otherwise give him a pass for the shower sex incident have no reason to put any stock in the guy. Going games-only won't win back the mountains of lost potential and wasted goodwill, and since the Social Justice presence on the site just died, you can kiss any attempt to use NeoGAF as a platform to launch more shithead assaults from goodbye.

Result: NeoGAF is potentially solvent for a bit, but will never be anywhere near as big, profitable, ubiquitous as it was before. Without the Social Justice presence, GAF ceases to be an attacker, but the SocJus gaffots will continue to attack NeoGAF for presumed betrayals, real and imagined alike. Hell hath no fury like an entitled dipshit who got defanged, and they will continue to froth about NeoGAF being the perfect heaven of a world they lost. They will actively try to sabotage NeoGAF at every opportunity, being a constant thorn int he side of GAF until one or both sides is destroyed. Provided the place remains unprofitable, it dies within months.


3. GAF IS LEFT IN ANARCHY

Analysis: Left in a state of limited chaos, nobody gives a fuck about it anymore.

Result: It becomes a shitty forum that's like Inner Circle but with slightly fewer attempts by @Ass Manager 3000 to set up circumcision-related honeypots. The place remains unprofitable and dies within months.


4. NULL BUYS THE DOMAIN NAME, REDIRECTS IT TO EITHER KIWIFARMS OR DEADNAME.INFO

Analysis: The rage would be audible in space.

Result: Mind-blowing hilarity. Would never happen though.

I mean, really... that's how dumb they think.

It hasn't occurred to them that this walled garden is a notorious PITA to get membership on, and therefore it's really hard for their paranoid scenario to be actually happening.

Which also means, logically, the site is hemorrhaging its user-base at a ridiculous rate right now.
