Which era are they resetting to? The old era wanted me to suck John Romero's flaccid cock over a shitty FPS while the current era wants me to beat a fat asshole to death over a voice acting gig. All I can say is Godhand would probably be called transphobic, homophobic and rude to Chinamen despite being awesome - so saying I'm not allowed to be any of that as part of the registration process doesn't bode well for good taste in video games.

Huh, I've got a question for those closer to the inside:

After seeing those invite codes I decided "fuck it" and went grab some dinner instead. When I came back, I changed my mind and tried to register (even tho those codes wouldve been long invalid).

Not only no code was asked but I was also able to use my e-mail from those services Null recommended some time ago. The same e-mail would never be accepted on the real NeoGAF.

What gives? Are they letting anyone in now?

Sounds like they dropped paid email, its just verification via NeoGAF or trusted users I guess. Obviously these registration codes are getting out there. They're also saying they're going to open up registrations totally in a week. I'd imagine ResetEra would get steamrolled if registrations were to open, but I'm not certain. I'm curious.

I would recommend you try it for yourself.

I not only was able to register, but they only asked for checking my e-mail to confirm my account, and I was able to post in a thread.
In NeoGAF I would still be able to "access" my account while waiting for validation, but I wouldn't be able to post at all.
