To me the idea of troons disproves gender is a social construct. If there are differences in male and female brains (as the brain scans supposedly show) then gender roles are informed by biology not society. I could be very wrong about this but that's how I see it.

I was reading a random thread on neogaf that was from 2016 that wasn't even one of the politically or socially controversial threads, it was about video games. No exaggeration, 3/4 of the posters in the thread were banned. That's pretty pathetic.

I know it's off topic but since we don't have an off-topic rating anymore...

That photo is just... like the perfect encapsulation of how people who are probably well-meaning liberals end up getting Brexit, Trump etc. A bunch of sandals-wearing white-guilt-ridden suburbanites LARPing as slaves. Tying a kid's hands and marching them along, wtf.

And look at the black fellow in the rear with the drum. Do you think he's also a British guy, bemused at this whole experience, or might he be getting paid to march along and play a drum for white people? Because that would be pretty damn funny, especially if he's actually African and paid to participate in what amounts to a minstrel show.

I have an account there and post actively but I try very hard to avoid any and all topics that can be remotely controversial unless it’s purely video game related.

Unfortunately my opinions are more centrist, with a slight dash of conservatism in a few categories (but I would still mostly be considered a liberal)...which has led to me getting banned for extremely harmless comments whenever I’ve bothered to even try.

It’s really annoying as hell, and honestly I’ve taken to sending DMs to people to make my arguments, because I won’t be banned for that, and I don’t have to deal with the person on the other hand attempting validate themselves with their argument in front of everyone, nor deal with the immediate dog piling that inevitably occurs if you voice a contradictory opinion on anything.
