There's damn good reason at the end of the day I can still stomach 4chan- to the very least, on many boards excluding /v/, /co/, and /r9k/, they know how to have fun when they want to. /tg/ story threads are funny, /pol/ is an autistic hive but love to spin anything they get into a silly laugh, /k/ is a magical place, and so on and so forth.

tumblr and ResetEra (which is a fucking stupid name- what era are you resetting to? The eve of WW2? Napoleonic Europe? The Reformation?), they kill fun because fun and humor to them is nothing but a "front" for hate. It's why people can't stand them and why those two places feel stale. Even then, at least tumblr has some fun left.
ResetEra is just a locked, padded room and the moment someone says something wrong, they get sedated and thrown out of the "safe space".

If you stop seeing the same people it's not that unlikely. Also if you lurk a lot of threads about topics where people may disagree with you, that chance goes up even further.

Blocking 1000 people is probably nothing compared to the number of banned members on reeEra
