Take him to McDonalds or something instead, not that this "lesson" would make sense because you're just rewarding him for playing video games with you and not having him throw a tantrum.

There's no way that thread isn't a mod honeypot. I'll bet anyone who answers yes to "do you identify as a gamer?" either gets banned or put on a list for future bannings.
