They probably make ban messages say stuff like that as a subtle way to "unperson" someone and justify the ban. This guy is a good example of that: quiet and on-topic poster who has been there since inception but makes one post out of line and it's off to the gulag, with an excuse made to justify it instead of just warning them like a normal forum should which is something they're not.

I'm personally curious more about how many members are signed up for Era Clear™, there was that ned_ballard guy who complained because he wasn't getting renewed, and from the above screenshot having no ads we know @Dreamland clearly is a subscriber.

On the new NeoGAF they identify the Gold Members though I think a bunch of them are gifted statuses and not actual subscribers.

Anyone with eyes to see and enough sense to check the AMA for himself can see that at worst THQ "associated itself" with loli, and only through PR reps talking in its vicinity and reacting to it. There's nothing here. There's no shitty business practice or behavior to punish. THQ didn't distribute or support or even condone CP. The only thing THQ is guilty of is a perhaps unwise PR move in hosting an AMA on 8chan in the first place, though I consider that laudable rather than shameful.

It's impressive, really, that a human being is capable of expressing a rational position immediately before ramrodding bullshit into it. As the saying goes: garbage in, garbage out.

You don't even have to say that. Just point to the huge list of "went woke, got broke" games. They claim to want diversity, but won't put their money down, instead they are buying "problematic" games to complain about them.

We don't have to defend strawman arguments we didn't make. They are the ones demanding a game dev union one minute, demanding someone be fired the next, and then asking for forgiveness when a woke ally is caught doing shady things. My position (and I assume most gamers) has always been "I'll buy the game if I want the game.". If they've tied themselves in knots holding games and developers to a contradictory morality, that's their problem.

The best thing is that he didn't even say it was about having two mums or whatever, it was specifically about different gendered role models - even saying grandma, uncles, etc, fit the bill.

You can't even twist his words as homophobic, although it hasn't stopped people from trying.
