Back on Gaf there was a Nintendo and sales focused grouping of Cerium, LordKano, Zedark and others like Zhuge who was banned at some point. They were mostly shills and focused on nintendo but so did many who posted there.
When the change of ownership happened the moderation team seemed a fair group that represented people across the board but its become clear since that double standards exist for certain people and Lordkano is the most blatant of those as he's constantly an abrasive presence throughout the site but never seems to receive infractions like everybody else. Seeing him as a prominent member of the sales discord is what prompted me to make this account and I think it's something which could split the site in a big way since from what I know is he's one of the most hated posters there and seemingly he's also protected by Cerium and the founders group.
The recent Kinsei thread on Smash Bros was another example of this when a lot of bans were handed out but certain notable members were spared from even a warning. One guy even received nothing when someone who quoted him was handed a ban.

I like the principles of Resetera but it's complete bullshit and will never work if it's not applied equally to everyone. Ultimately I fear that the people shown in the discord list are untouchables and the rules don't apply to them.
