Back in the day, future NeoGAF moderators would spend all day in the IRC channel, kissing Evilore’s ass and anyone else’s to be let into the circlejerk. It would often take years from joining the IRC channel to being modded. You could say that years of kissing ass was a bad yardstick to measure the quality of a mod but it’s definitely better than what ReeEra has, which is just having the right amount of intersectional multipliers.

The story seems to be he might have been a bit of a dick in a relationship to another lolcow with his own demons (because Quinn has been an angel in all her relationships), but then the act of her saying she forgave him and him going to get help is normally how personal relationship failures get handled.

Deciding to go fishing for attention years later/deflection from your own failing by setting your woke mob on someone who had turned their life around must at the minimum hold you partially responsible for sending them over the edge.

It's very high right now. I think a fewer of the "bigger" mods with ties to the industry or reasonable sized media presences are finding Resetera hurts their reputation. ZhugeEX obviously still enjoys his ties to PedoEra.

So many are being replaced by nobody Tumblr troons/male feminists who are further tightening the grip over wrong-think. The banning has been going into overdrive lately.

Hecht won't be going anywhere. It's all he has.

NeoGAF used to have retirement topics or welcome your new mods topics. Resetera is just silently taking the old out the back to shoot them and bringing in the new without saying anything. Isamu knows 90% of the unbanned community that is left hates the site. They just hate post on it.
