TDS pushed this into hyperdrive, but that's another form of forum cancer that SJWs seem to specialise in - the relentlessly angry and negative Debbie Downers who are determined to destroy anything that might distract people from the misery they're wallowing in.
They're often part of the group who claim to be big on self-care - but as soon as someone points out that, hey, maybe being a relentless prophet of doom who makes sure not a single thing goes by without talking about how it's shit isn't good for everyone around them, they flip their lids. Because to them, they're not Chicken Littles - the sky is actually falling! All the time! And if you don't like them talking about it, that's on you, because otherwise you're tone policing and silencing anger that minorities have a right to express and REEEEEEE OPPRESHUN.
There weren't as many of these people before Trump. But now, there's all these people like those assholes from the video, screaming to the heavens because they just couldn't bear Trump being president. And they infect forums as bad as troons do (unsurprisingly, there's a fair amount of overlap) in much the same way - they're on the right side of history, so who cares how anti-social and destructive to the community they're being, if you don't let them be cunts online you're literally killing them all over again.
I'm sure the right isn't immune to this either. But it all seems to tangle together in aggressively woke forums like ResetEra, usually it seems because they use the oppressive stack to see who can get away with being the most toxic user on the forum. They only care about the users who flame out over self-inflicted drama, and ignore how many of their core userbase just stop visiting because of bullshit that is allowed to fester, because to try and stop it would be fascist.

Lots of it is simple attention seeking. How often do you read about a Resetera suicide? It's typical lolcow behavior. Get attention and cement yourself as oppressed or fragile.
I have no doubts 98% of the forum claims to be depressed, mentally ill or autistic, but 98% of that 98% exaggerate, lie and simply fight each other to climb the oppression totem pole.
The troon suicide rate is supposed to be 41%, Resetera is a den of troons, how many of them have killed themselves?
Real people in the real world face issues those on Resetera pretend to face. No one in the real world is going to pretend to kill themselves because Tifa has large tits.
To summarize, if Resetera is to prove it really is a mental asylum full of mentally ill patients who help Isamu Fukui earn thousands of dollars a month more of them should kill themselves.
Hecht drinking himself to death doesn't count as suicide.
