To be honest, both Reddit and ResetEra are trash anyway and nothing of value would be lost if they went up in flames tomorrow then.You make some good points. The Reddit jannies actually manage to somehow have fun/enjoy themselves, the Era jannies are one more week away from suicide

AnOminous brought up some very good points but I disagree. Reddit mods are more unhinged, because they have more power overall, can be very agressive on their plans and can cause more damage. Don't get me wrong, Reeeeera mods are all awful and deservedly unhappy people who have to suck the girldicks, bigots, but the Reddit power mods are vile and will discreetly approve others posting child pornography if it helps them in getting rid of a subreddit they dislike.

Also I'm hearing mods know who Banshee McSpook is and it's a previously known poster. So that is why even with the racist name and sudden "I know everything about this community" staff went as far to pin topics. Staff don't even pin Larry's topics.
You can expect more of the violently unhinged posters from before to come back. You know the ones some of the "normal" jannies at the start dealt with before they ran away from Resetera.

2Bee is a dude, it's one of the "females" from the why women criticize Era I believe. Some deleted their accounts and others got perm'd by the old guard jannies for being too insane in the past years. There was even some infighting between them at one point that resulted in bans and account deletions.
I haven't got a name yet because the chat so far is the jannies know who it is and to ignore off-site comments (Hi Resetera/Hecht, thanks for reading here daily) expressing it's a troll account.
The current jannies are allowing previously banned minorities to come back now as long as they contact the janny hotline and grovel a bit and explain how much of a fragile victim they are.

I dunno. I said this in the Comicsgate thread and I’ll say it here... a lot of these are concepts that actually could be interesting if done well. the problem, just like with Comicsgate, is that “done well” can’t just start from wanting to make propaganda and use strawmen. you also can’t do it by rewriting a character people already identify with on an almost primal level.
but you could absolutely make an interesting superhero out of a black character whose parents were, in fact, murdered by white cops in an arrest gone wrong. Just don’t make them white supremecists. take that out and the whole thing just becomes a grey area and a tragedy - and the grey area is where stories happen.
you could also make an excellent supervillain out of the exact same character.
hell, imagine a Batman arc about character who does this, using Batman as his role model. He fights crimes, because crime did lead to his parents death, but he then also goes on to terrorize the Gotham police force because their incompetence also led to his parents’ deaths. It leads to Batman confronting him, and after a cat and mouse chase through the city, each using similar tactics, Batman tricks him into making a similar mistake and proving that everyone is fallible and his crusade is hypocritical. It would even allow Batman to take a new protege if they wanted to. I haven’t followed Batman for years, so I have no idea if he’s still using Robins or not, but there you go.
anyway, I’ll take my puzzle pieces for giving this idiot more credit and thought than she deserves.
