Resetera is nothing but pure headache, hatred, and misery. I personally don't even know why the mods even bother keeping the site up other than to maybe farm a few leaks from industry insiders and influence changes in shit like localization. The trolls fit right in with the actual userbase who genuinely believe the crazy shit they say. It's been a dumpster fire from day 1, and I still don't fully understand why it persists.

Is Resetera quite literally too angry to die?

their stance on islamic fundementlists is a logical conclusion of interesectionalism, they're effectively gridlocked by their fear of religious bigotry. The correct reaction is consider western power dynamics do not apply in that part of the world and moderate their approach.
That however would require introspection or analysis which resetera cannot do

They also stopped commenting on bans related to the Begum thread modwhiners (namely Opto, and Heromanz). Banning everyone and their dog won't make anyone see the point you're making, Poodle & Nepenthe, and it won't get rid of that empty feeling.

Half the people involved in the attempted firebombing of the federal building in Portland were nonwhite, and the suspects in the CHAZ shootings were blacks.
 
I gathered that there are/were a fair number of videogame devs posting on ResetERA, especially at first. Has that dwindled over time? Any notable quitters, or conversely devs that are loudly onboard with the site culture?

They bullied the Skyrim dev off the forums. I've seen Atlus and NIS America post there recently which is no surprise, both companies are pozzed beyond belief.

no one really notable bothers. 90% are "developers" of absolute shit-tier games or forced woke products. the rest are "journalists" that even kotaku wouldnt accept.
 
To be fair, the Atlus and NIS people are probably localizers rather than actual devs, since those are the ones going out of their way tot ry and censor the games while the actual devs in Japan don't give two shits about what Resetera thinks.
