The new Monster Hunter movie has a """joke""" between two army guys where they go "what kind of knees" "chi-knees" which has caused mass outrage from China where it looks like the movie will be banned from. Yeah the Monster Hunter movie is going to be a disaster like all video game movies, it's even got the Resident Evil lady to shit it up with her negative personality and charm.

That's the funny part in all this. Paul WS Anderson's movies do insane box office in China. His whole business model depends on international box office in general, and China specifically. Resident Evil: The Final Chapter did about $25 million in the United States and nearly $100 million in China. The idea that this was a deliberate attempt to offend linked to some corny nursery rhyme that no one's ever heard of is laughable.
