I actually agree with the poster there who's saying that Resetera has a mission statement and people should know better than to act like they can just ignore politics. Like it or loathe it, ResetEra at least wears it's politics on it's sleeves, straightforwardly proclaiming it's progressivism and openly banning anybody who challenges their sacred cows.

The "normal" members arguable are even more retarded than the trannies, because they nod along to "the personal is political" totalitarianism in theory, yet want to abandon that as soon as it means not getting to enjoy their blockbuster videogame. Arguably, they are the ones not abiding by the spirit of the forums when they put all the trannies on ignore lists. They could have signed up to some other gaming forum but they chose this one.

It's a genius move on Black Chamber's part.

You see, if you're already serving a self-requested ban, you can't be banned. He talks about the game on Discord for a month and comes back once the troons have moved onto the next whipping boy, perhaps a game that doesn't allow you to bang the lesbian npcs if you choose the masculine body or voice.

except that ResetEra's progressivism includes explaining to black people how CP2077 is racist for including the Voodoo Boys (when there are literally videos of black haitans hi-fiving the devs out there, when they saw that portrayal) and it includes doxxing people who don't find samurai swords used by a yakuza-style gang as racist, when there's literal asians defending them.

they are the epitomy of what I call 'regressive progressives' - the worst kind, like the antifa fuckheads that would turn into stalin the second they got an ounce of power. fortunately, almost none of them are competent enough to get to that level. so they scream and shout in places like this, for all the good it does them. and poor fools, like their "normal" members, don't realize these things and think they can hang out and be nice to an 'oppressed minority', only to realize far FAR too late that in their mind's eye the slightest disagreement with their insanity and any form of compromise is worse than being a legit swastika-tattooed nazi.

Yeah this is one of the most insane controversies when you look at what actually caused it. It is essentially because of a small number of "Did you just assume my gender"-style social media posts from CDPR, a single piece of promotional artwork featuring a woman with a penis, and the fact that your character's voice is tied to their gender (which the VAST majority of other games do). The idea that Cyberpunk is somehow so uniquely offensive and transphobic that it deserves to be banned from being discussed is a crazy case of mass delusion.

What exactly is the Cyberpunk incident that has set the forum on fire? I keep trying to look back over old posts and see, but it's hard to find. Just seems to be a bunch of bickering over the OT, and the creator of the OT (Black Chamber).
