It's a little more nuanced than that, but yea, that's pretty much it.

RetardEra was created as a result of “Showergate” where EviLore may have performed some questionable activity with some chick. It seemed like the facts were never fully established and may have been a misunderstanding he said/she said type of thing.

However what ackchually happened was that social justice warriors tried to stage a coup and tried to kick EviLore out. Since it was a gravy train that required little or no effort for a comfortable six figure income, he told them to pound sand.

RetardEra tried to rope in older GAF members by promising it wasn’t going to ban as often as GAF. That only lasted a few days. So while technically it was not promised to be a tranny safe space, anyone who thought it wasn’t quickly found themselves banned. Now white men in dresses run the site and let a token house negro (Nepenthe) run around too. The rest is history.

Also worth noting is that their tranny paradise has resulted in the mod and admin positions becoming revolving doors where the average lifespan as a mod is maybe a few months. I’ve been on various iterations of GAF since 1999-2000 and I don’t recognize a lot of these people. Back in the day, most mods were writers or editors of Gaming Age or those who spent the most time and kissed the most ass on the GAF IRC channel. Now it’s just seemingly random people as being a mod just means being the target of angry tranny rage.

Cerium is a derelict owner but the nonstop outrages and bans mean things are too disorganized to try to give him the boot. There is no established “community” to push for it. So Cerium is going to continue to profit off of tranny rage.
