Does anyone else find it funny that the "right side of history" anti-white supremacist, social justice "leading the video game community since 2006" forum Neogaf, can barely scrape 550 users on peak. While the alt-right, white-supremacist, misogynist, racist, homophobic, anti-semetic, anti-muslim 'hate' forum called kiwi farms has more than 2.5x the online users?

I saw this in the "Ask Me Anything" thread for Jason Schreier on Resetera and as a fan of classic Simpsons it made me happy.

I've been watching Resetera's reaction to the Israel/Palestine conflict going on right now and naturally they're firmly on the side of Palestine. Biden's statement seemingly supporting Israel has gathered massive amounts of ire from them, and Gal Gadot making very reasonable hopes for peace for both sides has branded her a war criminal and genocider. It makes me wish somebody would go into Schreier's AMA thread and ask him what his thoughts are on the issue.

Nobody has responded that the conflict is pointless because Israel and Palestine are both Rightful Roman Clay.

What other gaming news sites does a subscription model besides giant bomb? And the only reason giant bomb can get away with it is because they’re funny, focus on actually talking about video games, and have integrity.
Plus you get a plethora of good content without even needing to pay

I’m not going to pay money to some boring ass journalist to tell me something I could find from a better free content creator

I hear several key people just left Giant Bomb, so probably not even Giant Bomb is going to last under that model soon.

And imagine paying Kotaku and Polygon to tell you you're racist and sexist over and over again. Or jeez, just imagine paying Kotaku for ANY of the content they farmed off of reddit or other places. Schreier is still largely associated with the gaming site LEAST deserving of any kind of subscription, so I don't know where he of all people gets off suggesting it.

I really, really, hope you’re wrong, but you might be right. Still though, it was more of a “we’re kinda bored of this shit” than “we’re having trouble paying people.” I could still see a lot of people unsubscribing though because they basically just cut their content output in half.

Any time I’m looking for a review of a game, I will go to a smaller or hobbyist site rather than go to kotaku or polygon. You are way more likely to get someone who gives you something worth reading than the clickbait garbage you find on the mainstream sites nowadays. Shit, even PCgamer which was pretty decent 15 or so years ago has really fallen off.
