I know it's supposed to be sincere here, but they/them just always feels sarcastic to me. It's honestly a shame that many languages use gendered pronouns. A lot of mental illness could perhaps be avoided by adopting a neutral pronoun. Although, even Finnish kids are coming out with retarded pronouns, despite them never being categorized as he/she.

This may just be my recollection, but not nearly so many as you'd perhaps expect. ResetEra is the sort of lefty place which has always been suspiciously quiet about criticising China in any way, shape or form for them doing things a million times worse than anything the US is doing. However the US is the Great Satan, but bans for sinophobia are frequent.

I don't expect it to be much more than their basic programming being 'foreigners = good, white people = bad' in an advanced form, because they've embraced the idea that the root of all evil is white people. To the point where people are white if they disagree with them, no matter their actual skin colour. I think there's also some residual 'Trump = bad' stuff there as well, because the Hong Kong protestors weren't sacrificing their own liberty to also demand Trump be deposed, in fact some of them were supportive of his anti-China statements.

Again, this is my recollection, may not be backed up with the evidence. But to me, it always felt like the hypocrisy was very much there in terms of who'd they criticise, but there's not as much, 'See this person REEEEEEEing about how terrible China is vs. them REEEEEEEEEing their support now'. Criticising non-whites is always flirting with danger with some SJWs, because all it takes is one person to take personal offence and suddenly you're canceled - see how Nepenthe wields her paper-thin skin about how black people are treated to take even the most innocuous comments and make them 'unsafe'. The fact that it means China gets a pass for all sorts of human rights abuses is just part of their daily cognitive dissonance buffet.

There's something hilarious in watching a flat-ass furry niggress rant about civil liberties being violated "on the daily" when she herself comes from a priviledged background and never suffered even 1% of the violations she's denouncing.
