I keep telling you - I don't need, let alone want, corporations dictating what I say/do/watch/download/shop for on the internet. I don't the gov't doing it, either. Freedom is not letting corporations nickel-and-dime us all the time, and we ain't got enough of THAT kind of freedom anymore!

True, that - but we could all use more options to ensure these monopolies aren't the only ones we're (e.g.: you, me, and all of us) patronizing. I hope you understand that. I don't see any new startups coming out to give us those options anytime soon, either - unless they're allowed to compete. We don't need another failure in this regard like Vid.me on our hands, after all.

Net neutrality is the biggest issue facing society today - it's so big even major corporations like Google are behind it. It's literally a violent assault on free speech, and you think you can mock people into dismantling it? The protests we saw over the election are nothing compared to what the people will do when their only other option is a totalitarian oligarchy.

What I think we need to do is show these assholes we mean business. We got a million women to march on Washington and show drumpf what happens when you fuck with the people, imagine what we could do with a problem like this - a non partisan issue affecting everyone no matter their gender could easily get four million marchers at least, and that's real power.

This could just be my paranoia speaking, but I’m sure that this site will be seriously fucked if net neutrality laws are repealed. I’m sure it’s not news to anyone here that a lot of people hate us and want to take this site, and I’m sure that includes the ISP’s themselves. So I have no doubt that the ISP’s will waste no time slowing Kiwi Farms to a fucking crawl, or just blocking us entirely. It’d be a way for them to earn some “good guy points” taking us big meanies who make fun of autists offline, and maybe even help them justify these abhorrent practices.

Bottom Line: Yes, those guys are fucking whiney crybabies that aren’t helping their cause, but let’s not forget that net neutrality is important and anyone who uses this site (indeed anyone who use the Internet at all) should support it.
