New Media Processor is Running

The volume slider does seem to be wrong, like from 100% to 10% it only lowers the volume 20% to 30% and the last 10% to 0% is what actually matters.
I noticed this too. The recent fix to save my volume setting at 5% helps, but the slider is definitely not scaling correctly.

If AI did it then it must be a simple error with sound volume being calculated linearly instead of exponentially or logarithmically, in my experience AI likes to fuck up shit like that but it should be an easy fix.
Yeah, decibels are a logarithmic measure instead of linear. Even if you have the player report a number as a percentage of "output", it's likely not calculating the real sound level correctly.

You can download videos on Android, I've tested it myself. The problem is the clickzone on a phone screen for the download button is extremely small, just tap around for a bit and you'll find it. It's more on the right or lower right side of the download button. Tapping directly in the center of the download button doesn't work.
I kept fingerbanging my phone's screen for a minute and nothing. Even switching to desktop view on mobile didn't help.

I am using brave on android and i did turn the brave shield off.

However the videos run very smoothly now. That i like.

I'm getting errors when attempting to upload .mp4 files. The error is "The uploaded file was not a video as expected.", though it runs normally locally for me. Is this due to the maintenance going on with the video processing?

Videos actually usable on tor now, scrubbing and everything. Great work. Have you started processing old videos or is it just new uploads atm? What about files that match the formats you're serving, ex. someone uploads a 1080p AV1 video?

Also I saw it mentioned once or twice and hope you're planning to do searchable OCR on images. Being able to easily search screenshots would be dope.

I post my videos here at 500K bitrate (64K for audio) (rendered using AV1 (libsvtav1)), should I up the bitrate to 2.85M or keep them at 500K going forward?
The higher quality the source the better the re-encode will look so you should upload them in the highest quality you can. Assuming the original file is deleted after processing then space isn't an issue.

@Null Minor bug report: There seems to shared state between video instances. With multiple videos playing, adjusting the volume with the volume slider UI on one changes the volume setting (both the UI element and actual played audio level) on all videos.

Similarly, toggling the loop option updates the UI element across all videos but the actual loop enablement/disablement does not take effect until the "Settings > Playback" menu is re-opened.

Playback speed/Quality slider seem fine, can accept unique values per video instance.

Am I understanding this correctly that if I chose to upload a H.261 format like Unregistered Hypercam the system will render it into a modern codec that doesn't need 1.5 mB per second of video?
...

Is the original saved at all? Because I would love to record some shit inexplicably in UR2 but I think if I spend 500mB on a 40 second DSP recording Null would probably shoot me.
