I think Huggingface has public test versions of NVidia Parakeet, so you can get a preview if you upload the video there (assuming Null is hip to the newest shit and goes for Parakeet).
I tried it with https://huggingface.co/spaces/nvidia/parakeet-tdt-0.6b-v3 and you know what its not half bad. This drunk British man usually makes Whisper v3 large his bitch with lots of [BLANK AUDIO] output but Parakeet seems to be holding up a bit, it didnt catch everything (it transcribed "give me a break" as "give me a brick" :story:) but its getting there.

That's a livestream.
Here, I first middle-click, then open a new tab.

You're doing that on a thumbnail not a video frame.

there is a BUTTON on the PLAYER to DOWNLOAD VIDS
I think they're saying the download button is not working on android but it works fine on desktop, I'll test it...

EDIT:
The download button doesn't work on android unless you switch the tab mode on your browser to desktop site, if you do, it works. It can directly download the file or open the video in the native browser player (in this case just tap-hold and download the video anyway) depending on your settings.
The ⚙ settings button works fine even on mobile view.
@Harmless Harm if you scroll wheel click the download button it can also open the video in a new tab in the native browser player.

The download button doesn't work for me on mobile, pressing it doesn't do anything
Just to make sure; have you checked that it doesn't silently open it in a background tab or automatically/silently downloads it (i. .e. check your downloads folder or however modern phones work)?

I did that in the video, but the screen recording doesn’t show it. It’s just a small annoyance anyway.
Here is an example of how quickly you could do it before, without needing to start or mute the video:

It's never not funny when null learns the new and horrifying ways people use forums now:
> reaction notifications to alert people about threads
> endless ERP dm chains
> users downloading videos on mobile instead of just watching them

Anyways to stay on topic, videos don't play on my samsung fridge.

Its not working for me either, I tried downloading the nigger video and the button just wont work. Everything else works—accessibility, playback, audio all work fine except for the download option.

Im using Brave on Android.

based, the transcripts thing might wind up being a little wonky. I've noticed that the tool that I use, whisper.cpp, has a very hard time producing accurate transcripts for videos that lead in with music, like a stream intro or something, and I end up having to cut the video down to just the main content without music. That ends up working usually.

If you've got multi-lingual audio it also shits the bed but I've not actually tried to see if there are methods of working with multilingual audio so not sure if that will be a headache or not.

I was confused when i uploaded a longer video and it wasn't playable for a brief period but now it makes sense.

@Null
I post my videos here at 500K bitrate (64K for audio) (rendered using AV1 (libsvtav1)), should I up the bitrate to 2.85M or keep them at 500K going forward?

Thank you to the American and/or Israeli glowies who funneled my tax money to Jersh for making this possible.

Edit: never mind, no .flv support, shit sux

Now this I am kinda surprised by. This is a format that will play on a website, with the right decoder.
