I'm actually going to give Chris some credit here for realising, at long last that there's more money in him drawing Sonichu than there possibly is in anything else he could do. It's what most people have cited as the way he can make some money again yet he's always shied away from doing it since 'inspiration is a big variable,' so at least for once he's listening to the people who give him advice.

Of course, just like with the shirt, he's going to realise after a few days of relatively intensive work that he hates putting effort into Sonichu and will probably stop, even before we get out of Christmas time in the story. Unless his finances really are that bad (which his recent game purchases would reject), although there's no way of knowing if him simply drawing a few pages will give him a spike of income to begin with.

This is where the old trolls would have come in and get Chris to continue by dangling money/china in front of him to get him to dance.

Chris finally fulfills his obligation to @DStecks by working on Sonichu.

He probably thinks we forgot about him being well over a year behind on those hundred pages he's already been commissioned to draw, too. The internet never forgets.
We might not forget but you can bet Chris has. Chris doesn't understand what an obligation is; remember that he had a full week to mail a package and his response was to sit on his ass and spend money on incredibly stupid Skylanders shit.

Unless Chris receives insane praise for drawing Sonichu again, then I doubt he'll continue with any more pages
Right you are. Except you need to replace 'praise' with 'donations'. Chris has been told countless time that he could make money doing Sonichu pages and he wants to see if it actually pays off despite technically being 1000$ in already. So if he sees donations he'll do another page, beg some more...every page is probably going to come with an invisible price tag; even though he owes one hundred in advance.

As for where the story could go after Christmas I have a good idea where Chris is going. He's making all of Sonichu's kids grow-up because he wants to put then in High School and re-insert himself as Christine and relive the glory days. He might even turn the focus of the series back over to the main character, (unlikely). It's evident with his renewed interest in Son-Chu that the Samurai Pizza Bots are going to play a much larger role than before too...that's if he even gets past the one page.

Sonichu is back? Halleloolah! The world has energy again! Dance in the streets!

Agreed. Maybe he is actually listening for once. As you imply though it will not last as he is just so incurably lazy.

And, God that video was uninteresting!

Out of curiosity I tried Chris' pen grip. This is how I experienced:

It feels kind of weird and it's unusual. The positive side of this grip is it actually locks the pen in your hand. With this grip your movements will be solely relied on your wrist, which is pretty ok to draw straight and long lines as you entire arm is placed on the desk to support this.
However a big flaw is it's less suited to draw fine and small details because you're relying on your wrist too often which can lead you straining your wrist. Using your fingers to coordinate your movements would be better at long terms.

The bottomeline is Chris' pengrip is good to do crude artwork but it isn't suited for doing fine details

How? I seriously sat down and looked at his grip and I can't figure out what the hell is even going on.
Does he have his middle finger wrapped around the pen?

Kind of.

Its called a tripod grip, used by kids in preschool.

That explains everything. It's how he learned it in special education. I didn't realize that this was an actual grip though

He's not doing it right anyway...

I'd like to wish it would have made him realize that the whole tranny phase has not panned out for him the way he had hoped. But, we all know that he's a stubborn idiot and he's going to cling onto this anchor all the way to the bottom.

Unfortunately, the only thing he really sought to gain by playing the tranny card is possibly solving the love quest because he'd given up trying to attract a straight woman. So in his autistic mind, he'd have better luck with lesbians. Otherwise, he's always hated being a guy for some reason so his 'evolution' into a tomgirl and then full on tranny short of SRS largely is based on that, IIRC.

how much is that HS ring worth? he's selling Bob's stamps but not that HS ring to some place that buys gold?

The ring can't be worth that much in material value, but it's a thing from the High School days. Chris idolizes his 'glory' days at MHS, unlike the totem which was maybe 7th grade era, so he's going to only part with the ring willingly when he's dead.

I think finding that shirt really knocked something loose in his head. Since finding it, he's gone on nostalgic rambles about all of the memories that the shirt was around for, him wishing to redirect his life, not to mention going out to a Wal-Mart wearing it unprovoked...

...and now he's drawing Sonichu again.

I'm wondering if we're in the beginning stages of an autistic mid life crisis.

Megan beware, you're in for a scare....

depends on what material it's made out of, it might be worth something if it's gold, I bought a lustrium class ring that's worthless now and I probably would have sold it if it was worth anything, the Jostens reps don't tell you people ring worth after HS, at least people who do things after graduation instead of taking 5 years to earn a 2 year degree or vandalizing property over a cartoon character's arms, I doubt Borb shelled out the cash for a gold ring
