Feedback "new users" paradox

I recall seeing some community update posts recently by this guy and while the things being posted about were timely and interesting, the posts themselves were near incomprehensible and seemed more concerned with making le funny in-jokes than getting across pertinent information or coherently explaining what the topic was.

The problem got worse as the topics became more obscure while at the same time the banter/memery intensified. You can post updates on well-known subjects and get away with jokery, or post clearly-communicated updates on obscure subjects. You can't do both at the same time. The combination of obscurity and shitposting turned the posts into fucking trash.

The Kiwifarms was promised to us 2000 years ago after moot died from aids and lord and savior Null was debanked for our sins and right to say Nigger and be retarded on anonimous forums on the capital I internet.
 
Do I count as a brand-name Kiwifarmer? I wrote the new ED and India Menace threads, both of which have something like a million views between them. I need to know.

In any case I am fascinated by the psychology that oldfags have specifically on this site where they contribute very little, cause problems for the site, and then complain about "new users" or "the site is dying." I am obviously biased here but every cool contribution to the site I've seen thus far is by someone who has joined in the last five or so years. Many of the new threads, especially lolcow threads, have been made by random new users. Kiwi Station is hosted by a 2024 user. Every time I see a kiwi gold user it's almost unilaterally someone who joined in 2020 or later.

Of the few 2013-2019 oldfags still around (the ones that haven't quit or been banned), they mostly just hang around the supporters forum or designated lefty politisperg threads like dementia patients in care homes waiting to die. Many don't even have green T&H and only come out to shit up on topic threads or attack Null.

I think oldfags like neger want some idea of "the old site" back, before it exploded in popularity with stuff like DKF, and when they don't have it they get really mad and make retarded lamentation posts like this.

That is quite possibly the worst Community Happenings post I've ever seen. Excessively long, doesn't actually name what happened, attaches dumb bullshit rant that isn't relevant, links to the thread but says don't read it.

If this is the "caliber of posts" that neger is making then he's shit at it and should leave the site.

It's like if the new users are not really new users but just people creating new accounts because they have been previously banned or got low reaction scores, but, even if you remove this correct assertion, most new users are probably younger and don't understand how a forum works or even the culture of KF.

@neger psykolog is the perfect example of everything wrong with Kiwifarms. He thinks he's so special because he joined a forum years before other people did. What makes you important? What makes anything you say of value? All these bitter old fags complain about how new fags are ruining the forum when all you do is complain about it. I don't even recall seeing you post in threads. You aren't some kind of celebrity; you are just a random guy that joined a forum. You aren't some valuable asset. You claim the newfags ruin this site, but the reality is @neger psykolog and people like you are ruining the site. Without new users, this website dies. Do you want us to become Something Awful 2, where nobody but 20 old fags use the site? Bitter old fags should move to the nursing home.

Guy's sober 300%. He's just a bitter cunt that feels that he's both better than other posters and that everything he shits out is gold. To be insulted by his perceived inferiors over his clearly superior posts was too great an injury to bear, so now he goes away and deprives us all of us his presence. How will we continue on without him?
The truth is, you can only hide your faults for so long. You're seeing posters who've been on here for a long time and post all the time reach the end of that timer. The cracks are showing; Day of The Password Scramble for cyber-dementia riddled oldtroons soon.
 
Neger is autistic but he tries and sometimes makes decent contrib utions. He's REAL, even if sometimes he is really shit. And he seems to spark a lot of, uh, discussion around the forum. So on the whole, does he not contribute more value to the site than he takes? :juice:He can squirt! Just let him squirt!
 
I don't think he's all that bad- just autistic in strange ways. I like most of his posts, even if I don't really understand the mind behind them or how he arrives at some conclusions. This morning's spergout just means he needs the ramen that tastes like mac and cheese and an extra heavy blanket tonight after Bluey.
