Plagued Nice Guys

I hesitate to say video games aren't a hobby. Nearly anything can be a hobby. The problem is when your hobbies are all a variation on gaming, video, tabletop, LARP. Now you're just shallow, and boring to anyone who isn't exactly like you.

Same thing with stuff like ham radio spergs. If that's the extent of your interests don't whine when people think you're boring.

Reminds me of how about 10 years ago, anyone who would be accused of being "emo" would vehemently deny it, because of the backlash. Tis similar to how nowadays, alot of these nice guys will deny the label, again, because of the backlash and all of the traits the stereotype implies.

Too true, unless you turn said hobby into a career. That mileage will vary, of course. The key to having hobbies like WH and not come off as a socially awkward loser is to shut the living fuck up about it unless asked about it. It's pretty easy. If someone asks? Tell them concisely and don't get into the fucking spergatory that is the lore. If they continue to inquire, continue to expand.

When you get down to it, people who decry gender equality, anti-harassment, etc. are simply livid that women can make their own decisions now, and even worse, they can say "no". A lot of Nice Guys were spoiled as children, so they never heard the word "no".

I don't know why but when I read these and they start saying how nice of a guy they are I always read it in a thick African accent

I read it in a whiny, 12-year-old kawaii beta voice. I've never seen anyone associate an African accent with those kind of posts, usually it's either what I said or a thick Indian accent.

It's always "why won't you even give me a chance". But you have a chance just by way of the fact that she's willing to listen to you speak. You have a chance literally with every human in your vicinity who doesn't run away or block you before you open your mouth. That's how dating starts, with the first conversation. You blow that chance when the conversation is nothing but childish role-playing, fetishizing her race like she's a fancy breed of pet, and then calling her racist names at the first sign she won't act like a subservient pet.

They think giving them a chance is see how terrible they are in bed. They blindly follow this illusion that women everywhere are having sex every single night with random dudes and want their turn.
