I can confirm that Still-Life is using a new account. The recent update to LOCALS gave me access to unique ID tags for each account, so I can tell which is which if I record the tag before they changed their handle.

Is this ban evasion? I know the TOS for LOCALS is archived... Not that I want anyone reported, but Nick worrying and banning people for TOS violations is humorous if he does not address this.

I will have to check if there is any sperging about his ban later.

COVID really fucked up with contractor situation in the US. Contractors can more or less pick and choose who they work for and what they want to work on. If a project is going to be too much of a pain in the ass, they're gone. If it's too small a job to be worth the time, gone. If they just don't like the cut of your jib, gone. I think in most areas, it's a combination of finding a willing workforce to do the hard work, and still some recovery from all the gibs, as a lot of homeowners put that money to home improvement projects.

I am sure these contractors, upon entering Casa de Balldo, see the absolute state of chaos the house is in, hear the screaming kids bouncing around- they're already on edge. That was true to a large degree in the area where Nick lives long before COVID. He lives in a rural area and nearly every contractor is a prima donna asshole. They especially tend to hate any custom work or work that requires them to think. They want to do the same work they always do and nothing else.

And to a small degree in their defense, the problem with custom work for people like Nick is that they don't really know what they want, they will constantly change their minds during construction and they will not be willing to pay the cost of what it takes to do what they want done especially in contractor time. It inevitably ends to just be a headache and aggrivation where nobody ends up happy.
