The Avellone case might be worth monitoring. Don't think it's interesting/funny enough to warrant its own thread in Lolcow LLP, but who knows, the suit is young.

EDIT: There was a part where Avellone and Bristol had one of those actual malice scenarios, where Bristol claims something happened while Avellone denies it happened, and only they were party to the event. I know in Texas, specifically where the Second District oversees, there's Khan v. Van Der Linden to infer actual malice in that scenario. I have to wonder if there's something equivalent in California.

There has been an interesting development in the Chris Avellone situation. In his Medium article, he talked a lot about Jackie (Jacqui Collins), who was a friend of Karissa (the woman he made out with and is now suing). Karissa encouraged Chris to get with Jackie.
