The seasoning has a very simple explanation. Have you had "institutional" food before? Bonus points if it is low-sodium/diet-centered. That's what blacks think white people food is like. "Subtle flavors" don't exist to them because rotten/off/old overpowers all. Edit:

There is a lot of pre-packaged or processed foods that are very light on salt and don't get me started on "healthy" or "Organic" foods that barely include any. I get everyone is terrified of too much sodium, but there's healthy levels, if you don't want food that tastes like cardboard.

I'm also glad for my part in giving my fellow Farmers ammunition to use against the seasoning police.

Right but when your race is an outlier for hypertension and therefore the impetus behind most of those "healthjy" foods the complaints about too little salt kind of fall on deaf ears. @Wendy Wheelchair speaking of how terrible this shit is for you:

I like salt as much as the next white person, but maybe they should stop burying food in stuff with salt in the name.
I mean you say that and I don't dispute the hypertension and its relation to salt, but I'm getting deeply concerned about this. A mud-people would have nearly endemic parasites and a high salt diet is likely one of the few things keeping it marginally under control. Not to get all parasite-pilled on you but this was a 13% loss I was wholly unprepared to contemplate.

The "sodium causes hypertension" hypothesis has somewhat been abandoned similar to the "saturated fats cause heart disease".

It's a little bit of a chicken-and-egg thing because high blood pressure over time damages kidney function, but otherwise healthy kidneys are really efficient at getting rid of excess dietary sodium the body doesn't need.

The pituitary/adrenal glands and kidneys are extremely autistic about keeping a perfect blood osmolar level, which mostly revolves around sodium.

It's mostly people who already have chronic kidney disease or heart failure or the elderly that have to pay attention to salt in their diet.
 
Apparently it's a southern thing, as I recently found out that my father whos family comes from Alabama seems to think you're supposed to at least rinse your chicken off before cooking.

Thank god he doesn't use bleach and soap at least.
I've been told this is because the white man would give inferior, old, and dirty cuts of meat to black people at butcher shops, so they got in the habit of washing to get the grime off.
 
Not cornstarch but I’ve noticed a lot of weird food trends with them.

My sister worked with a black girl who would bring a giant pickle, slather it in grape Kool Aid powder and eat it as a snack. Maybe it’s good but it sounds gross to my white ass.

I worked with a black dude who would drench hot dogs in mayo before eating them. That shit turned my stomach

Pickles soaked in Kool-Aid ("Koolickles") have been a trend in my area for a few years now.

There is no such thing as "a seasoning." What most niggers call a seasoning is what actual humans call spice blends.
