That game needs some meta-progression/unlockables and 'bosses'. The core is a solid time-waster, like the Learn 2 Fly series or Burrito Bison, but there's really not much to this game yet.Kaela played that terrible IRyS fangame for 2 hours. She is made of different stuff.
I seriously do think about how much these people unironically need Jesus sometimes. Someone else a few pages back said something like atheism is dumb; well if a person is honest with themselves, the ONLY logical conclusion of atheism is nihilism. Nothing matters, 'subjective meaning' has no meaning because the end sum of everything (whether you're as 'bad' as Hitler or as 'good' as Saint Richard Dawkins) is 0, so 'I make meaning for myself in my life' is nothing but cope and willful ignorance. Being depressed and hopeless as an atheist shows that you're actually thinking about it more honestly than 99% of the people out there.Lumi's fixation on and openness about her existential issues is kinda endearing. She spends time thinking about the sort of issues that many people either can't process or actively avoid thinking about. Girl does need to get over her hangups about church and find Jesus to get some peace of mind, though.
I also have the impression that to outsiders who think that way, Christianity is "Live, Laugh, Love", "Be happy and nice all the time", "Everything is going to work out and my life will be great", but the reality is; life can suck, people are fallen sinful creatures by nature and they suck, you can get framed by glowies, beheaded by ISIS, tortured by abusive parents, be living homeless on the street, die, etc. But in the grand scheme of things, none of that matters because no matter what happens in life, no one and nothing can take Christ away from you. https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Romans+8:+35-39&version=ESV
TLDR; I think doomers need to see the gritty, realistic side of Christianity instead of the 'everything is rainbows and butterflies' side.
And Takodachi, It's not that the healing from the ghost takos is so good, it's that the ghost takos are essentially pushing away actual enemies. So instead of them sitting on you and draining you every single tick of gameplay, they get a few hits in, get pushed out, get a few hits in, get pushed out, etc. And that gives time for your other healing to work. Once your stats get crazy high then it doesn't matter as much because like you said; the Yagoos don't scale hard enough and your stats can outscale them, but I think the start of that cycle works how I said, and then eventually your stats took over and the items like Plushie and headphones don't matter as much.
The dev has stated that the Ina's ghost 'hits' are a bug and should be getting fixed, so hopefully a few of these other related things will be fixed in August, because other characters can get 'immortal' too (I think Kronii with insane haste throws out time bubbles so fast that nothing can reach her, and I think IRyS with lots of max HP can outheal literally anything with Hope.) For a fun bug, though, get 100% haste on Mumei: https://youtu.be/SRyPvPLVNYs?t=2111
