The EWU channels are kind of interesting. The original channel was an exploration family channel that featured a middle-aged guy and his oldest daughter exploring the desert in Nevada in the beginning, and his wife, two younger daughters, and most likely autistic son would sometimes join in. They often would visit old desert crimes scenes and would sometimes find additional evidence years later that they'd turn over to police. They also liked to do Area 51 videos.

As the channel got more popular, the guy would get into internet pissing matches with people sometimes. All of this culminated in someone calling the cops during a livestream and getting them chased off a property, I think it was in the Salton Sea area but I can't really remember. Right before the end of the channel's first life, the guy bought an old church just outside of Area 51 and started converting the property into an RV/resort/homestead.

Shortly after that, the second iteration of EWU came into being, with the robotic voiceovers and true crime content. The channel also split into a number of EWU "branded" channels, EWU Crew being one, and EWU Body came being another. There might vw more that I've missed. The EWU logo they use comes from the original channel's merch.

I thought the guy had simply sold the channel, but I noticed a while ago that there are occasionally "explore" videos on the EWU Crew channel featuring this guy and his family, with the robotic voice over. The videos appear to be a month or two old when they go up, but newer than the Area 51 resort videos. Idk if the guy sold the channel or just hired someone else to expand and manage them and is still using them for a more passive type of income.
