Charging more for a game is just inoffensive compared to a lot of the industry.
"Free" mobile slop games that try to trick your dopamine receptors into becoming a whale with limited time offers that just make financial sense. People paying thousands for skins especially for games that already had an initial price. Loot boxes sneaking gambling into normie sport games and especially kids games. I would rather see gamers rise up against those.
And if it is specifically about being politically "woke" then Nintendo is about as inoffensive as it gets. Focusing criticism on them just feels like more console wars rather than them actually being more offensive than any other publisher/developer. If the principled stance is stop playing video games or play old games then fair enough. If it's Nintendo is particularly egregious then I don't see it.

I REALLY hope this also translates to using the switch 2 joycons. Because unironically I would buy them just for steam. ESPECIALLY if you could use both things separately but as "1 controller" so they also have their own L/R side slot bullshits ALSO usable, I could see them being pretty good for a control setup for sure.

Shit could possibly unironically be like the wii controls setup for shooters but possibly better? Great prospects. I actually quite liked the few shooters on wii, even if it lacked titles from other systems.

Its kinda nice that even if I think the switch 2 isn't worth it, controllers might be worth it....assuming the sticks don't drift like a felon on the lamb.

Going to get one next week, probably. Pretty excited for new Mario Kart and Metroid. The wife is already trash talking about lapping me. I will destroy her. We are going to invite the oldest over so he and the grandkids can witness.

I know I'm replying to bait, but all these Deck comparisons use the default Deck preset for Cyberpunk which is generally pretty terrible and if you tweak it yourself you can get better perf without any upscaling.
 
While being in the mall popped into the Nintendo store, they had like 20 systems left over. Sad.

That's just wrong. Nintendo owns multiple gachas of their favourite series. Censored games both in content and text. They made the idea of purchasing the same game multiple times before online service was even a thing.

I find it funny people are shocked by the Switch 2 screen and not being able to do HDR worth a damn. It's an edge lit LCD, what did people expect? You need a display that can do local dimming or with self-emitting pixels to do HDR that is good, and we have known from the Switch 2 reveal it wasn't going to have a mini LED or OLED display.

Not saying it doesn't suck Nintendo didn't go with a better display type, but rather people being shocked at the results of the Switch 2 screen are delusional.
 
After playing the system for a while I've noticed a really odd case where the system will freeze on waking from sleep mode on some occasions and require power cycle. The weirder thing is that it seems to only happen in docked mode.

It's not too bad but it's worth keeping an eye on in case things go south.

Depending on the area some stores got up 100+ consoles for open orders due to the amount of preorders. That and I'm sure big box stores will move stock around to make sure it sells.

Also, it's worth noting that Target and Walmart didn't do midnight launches like GameStop and Best Buy did. Target did a launch day event whilst Walmart just dropped their stock on midnight.

It also doesn't help that NOA's (and TPCi's) headquarters are located in Bellevue, WA. That's a stone's throw away from the hive of PNW scum and villainy known as Seattle.

They won't. This will be a repeat of the switch 1 emulation all over again. Nobody learned a damn thing because they're all braindead niggercattle. Nintendo has been blatantly obvious about keeping an eye on everything Switch 2 related like a fucking hawk and now you have people IMMEDIATELY posting exploits on fucking Twitter/X like fucking retards

I hate EVERYTHING about the Switch 2 and the events around it, including the people involved in this.

It's actually worse than a lot of those things. The average game price being hiked from 60 to 70 in the last 5 years was outrageous enough as it is, but it was slow rolled, and some publishers still haven't adopted it, and some PC Releases opt for a $50 price point compared to the console that pays the full 70, so it's not terrible.

Nintendo, appropos of literally nothing but greed, decided to hike the price EVEN FURTHER, to $80, on the first and ONLY exclusive game for their hot new console at launch. The rest of the industry being bad doesn't give Nintendo an excuse to set an as yet unheard of terrible industry standard, what kind of tendie cope is this?
