I really hope you are right and I look like a stupid faggot in a month, but we also nintendo HAAAAATES steam.

wouldn't shock me if they intentionally made it hostile to work with code wise.

But switch controllers with a mouse shell, especially with the mouse input MIGHT replace my mouse if I'm honest. Just because the SHEER versatility there.
If nothing else I would just recommend getting a Switch Pro controller for Steam if you don't have one already. It's the best controller I've used with Steam and it has an excellent gyroscope for shooters on it. I've heard that the Nintendo Pro controller even has a much better gyroscope than the Hori Steam controller.

I had such a problem with my Pro controller when i first got my Steam deck. After 15-20 minutes, it would disconnect for a few seconds and then reconnect . Switched to a PS4 controller.

Heard Valve fixed some Switch pro controller bugs earlier this year and I decided to switch back to my Pro Controller. I was able to play through FFVI with no problems.

I do second the Pro Controller with Steamdeck.

I have an 8bitdo which is BASICALLY the same thing, even reads on steam as switch pro.

Only possible problem was pairing this with an actual switch pro controller for coop caused problems where 1 controller would kick the other off or something.

Besides that, not a single error.

Might even be avoidable if you get the Xbox style one
