It doesn't help that there is only 2 titles to choose from just about. A mediocre game from 5 years ago you can get cheaper elsewhere and a Mario Kart.
It's really crazy they had such a bare bones launch. Switch 1 was heavy on ports and Switch 2 had plenty of time in the oven (though I think they should've waited for a Christmas release), so where are the new games? They couldn't get 2 or 3 new launch exclusives? DK is close to launch but...seriously...that's not enough enough either.

I suspect Nintendo will be sucking BlackRock cock harder than ever if Switch 2 flops.

Redditors are reporting that using unofficial chargers can brick the console, matching the leaks about the system self-bricking if it detects higher voltages.

If true, this is a civil lawsuit in the making, and the EU won't be happy about it either. But then again Nintendies are the biggest fanatics on earth and they'll probably eat the loss and buy another one rather than take the heckin' good guys who shaped their childhoods to court.

Funnily enough the New Nintendo 3DS only had around 15 games that were truly exclusive to 'em (and the Super NES virtual console games), I guess that’s the reason why I never made the switch to one when they dropped.

This honestly worries me, I’ve been good about using the Switch 2’s official charger but I’d hate for this to happen just for plugging it into a portable charger. That said official Apple USB-C chargers are anywhere between 20 and 35 watts and the Switch 2’s charger provides 60 watts.

Bro what?

Edit: For Context, he is a grifter himself. He made a video mentioning that he got more views and subscribers by making hate videos on Nintendo, so yeah, it's a grifter throwing Nintendo Grifters under the bus.

The whole "soldout pre orders" turned out to be a complete cope. And the amount of Nintendo fuckups is pretty staggering. Hopefully someone will make an Internet Historian style megacut of Reddit salt.

What amazes me is how boring the design is. If you showed someone the new console they'd think it's something like the mini PS2 rather than a complete new console. The big new screen is pointless when the only way you'd get passable graphics is docking it, in which case might as well play it on PC for 60+ fps.

Not gonna watch it, "the problem with switch 2 grifters", I look at his channel and it's nothing but switch 2 content.

Yeah fuck this retard.
He really is a Grifter himself as he admits he makes more views and subs hating on Nintendo. But it's okay he isn't like that lolcow Muta so he has his principles. Yuck!

Half of games on Switch one were borderline unplayable, because hardware just was not up to it. So I would say Switch 2 launches with like 1000 tittles that Switch 1 can't play.

And yes I am actually considering this shit, because I have 6 year old kid.

this is probably the least interesting console launch to date, Mario Kart is not going to be enough for most, ill wait for Metroid Prime 4 I think

this "Complain about Video Games" content mill on YouTube is just exhausting
There have certainly been worse launches. I find the XBone launch to be the worse out of the bunch. Nothing really excited me as far as the launch library goes. 2077 i’ve already played through and plan on playing again once CDPR finished the updates and possible future DLC. Not a big fan of MK and i really tried to like that series. I have Yakuza 0 in my steam library and have yet to play it

The first few videos that complain about video games were cool. Now it’s just redundant and brings nothing to the table as far as new content. Yes we know about the greed and leftists that have infected games. And i still am waiting on a industry wide collapse that grifters have predicted for years.

I’m still going to wait a year until I decide so patches for BC and Switch 2 content are released.

We're already in it. A lot of games have been under performing. Most AAA games in 2024 did and the few that did boast good sales were sequels that under performed their predecessor. Even the break out hits aren't as big. Expedition 33 did great but 3 million is a far cry from the 20 million we saw. There is also going to be a big drying up in investor money that came in the late 2010s and COVID. Gaming isn't making these crazy returns they predicted and we're seeing layoffs industry wide. The crash is a lot slower because it's cased by various slow moving factors. There is the weird "not a recession" recession we're in where everything on paper is good but no one is buying anything. Then you have millennials getting older and not buying games as they have other shit (jobs, pets, marriage, kids, a house maybe). So there isn't a massive pool of 20 year olds to buy everything. Then of course there is the migration to PC which has massively opened the options available meaning you are never hurting for games and will likely buy everything on discount.

Nintendo was insulated from these issues because console work on cycles. Switch had a great start so it did fine, but the problems were arising when ToTK sold less than BoTW and the 2024 games not doing as well as before. Nintendo assumed the good times would roll but now they are with everyone else in the fucking shit. The millennials getting older and the PC migration will hurt them the most as that was the generation who grew up with the walled garden and now they are either not gaming or moved to PC due to the convenience. They are going to have to rethink their entire business model and company output this year because they are in the thick of all three of these issues.

"The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom – Nintendo Switch 2 Edition"

Are they actually making the soy boys buy new 80 dollar copy of the game they already own, instead of giving them free update to the game?
No its just a re-release that has the 10$ upgrade build in the cartridge, its scummy that they are charging for performance upgrades on the zelda games and excusing it by adding some phone gimmick nobody wants to justify it, they couldn't make it free like it is for other games or add actual content to justify it like kirby for some reason.

They can ebay it for MSRP. I've seen multiple Switch 2s selling in the low 600s on ebay while searching soon ending auctions for "Nintendo" today (not looking to buy one, thats just how increase my game horde on the cheap.)
They can also return it - primarily most normal people aren't going to Ebay it when they can Amazon it instead or literally walk into any Target, Walmart, Gamestop, Best Buy and have it in minutes instead of waiting on shipping.

Scalpers aren't going to lose money - just time and effort. But it has been fun watching the listings go from 650, to 580, to 550 while arguing in the comments.
