Mario Kart Wilds is such a colossal piece of shit garbage game that I'm still learning awful things about this digital abortion to this day. So in free roam mode, you don't have a lot of things to do, it's basically the P switchs and nothing else. So guess what? If you are in free roam with friends, the P switches are deactivated, so you are free to do NOTHING with your friends in the most useless open world in history. 11 years of development for that.
It plays like shit just like MK8 too. I bet the upcoming Sonic racer is going to shit all over it like Racing Transformed did vs Mario Kart 8.

I wonder if they're going back to the N64 era with very few games of much higher average quality.
Sure looks like it with how dead Switch's exclusives list is.

You have Metroid, Pokemon, Splatoon, Kirby Air Riders and Zelda musou announced just off of the top of my head and got two big games in the past two months, why are you bitching?

You said Switch exclusives and thats what they are.
No, I said Switch 2 exclusives. You're coping like a Sony fanboys.

I don't know why you are still surprised by cross-gen, Nintendo has had a cross-gen period for pretty much every successful system they've ever had.
I have no problem with cross-gen, but that's what these spinoffs should be. Stuff like Zelda musou slop and a Kirby racing game should be end-of-life support material for Switch 1, not "enticing exclusives" for Switch 2. In addition to that there should be at least a few big hitters coming up but there's nothing.

In 3 months there's been 2 games, Mario Kart 8 with a half-baked open world, and DKB. I'm starting to think we'll be lucky if there's one more good game announced for the end of the year.

Dude, the original post is right on this page, people can just scroll up to see that you're lieing.

The context was obvious and your reply makes it clear you fully understood, since if you thought I was talking about Switch 1 exclusives you wouldn't have listed a bunch of shit that's NOT Switch 1 exclusive, and stuff that is Switch 2 exclusive. And if you haven't noticed, this is the Switch 2 thread.

At least Switch 2 has that woke wheelchair basketball game coming soon I guess lmao

Boohoohoo Nintendo is going multiplat... to other Nintendo platforms. Get over it.

Gosh darn, Captain Toad and Mario Golf for $40 each! What a steal! These were the discounts I've been waiting for.
More Nintendo games are on sale digitally, and the last couple months I've checked they've been different. Back in June the physical Deluxe Set of Nintendo World Championships was 65% off for $21. I thought that was a pretty good deal because I thought the game looked fun. Personally, I only buy physical these days and I don't like buying new for full retail price. So for the most part I'm buying used games, except for TOTK, which I got for $40 new when it was on sale last year. I think it's understandable that people don't want to pay MSRP, because I don't either, and it's also understandable that people don't want to have to watch and wait for sales to happen. But I also think it's wrong to claim that the discounts never happen at all, because they clearly do, and people shouldn't be mislead on that.

Would you say that Nintendo deserves to be deleted the most out of the Big Four in the industry now?

The problem is that if you delete Nintendo, you no longer have good games, even their most mediocre slop is leagues better than what I see on Steam, PlayStation, and Xbox. It's part of the reason they can get away with so much bullshit

I will quite easily, by sticking to Switch 1 lol.

No way. I'd easily choose Sony, because they're the ones who spearheaded woke games, and even before that they ignored all their good IPs and only made cinematic slop. Worst thing to ever happen to Sony is Uncharted performing well.

That wheelchair game begs to differ, but I mostly agree.

Nah, course not. Microsoft is by and large the easiest target, being guilty of many of Nintendo's anti-consumer shenanigans without having the catalogue of games or creative legacy to make people submit. While it's concerning to see Nintendo being rewarded for all of the bullshit they've been pulling (I think this is the first time where it's worked out for them), the work culture and everything outside of their business practices/litigious nature is leagues above the industry standard. Even then, Nintendo have continually demonstrated that they have no understanding of how gamers think. Being the demographic which is easily the most savvy around consumer protection laws, I get the impression that Nintendo will have to fold to some of our demands sometime down the road.

Even if we remove the low hanging fruit, I'd still prefer to see Sony go due to having way more skeletons in their closet, both in and outside of the gaming industry.

They treat you like you have the Queen's wallet that is. Nintendo makes good games but absolutely refuses to ever discount them even when they are over ten years old. Any game made by Nintendo will forever be $60, and now actually $80 for a digital game, not even physical. It's so fucking Jewish that I can't defend Nintendo's games at all even if a lot of their games are decent. I refuse to pay full brand new release prices on games that are a decade old. It's fucking moronic.
I'll add this as something I saw a few years back: it's so bad third party retailers such as Gamestop will have to specifically certain sales and promotions specifically one I remember being a Memorial Day buy 2 get one of equal or lesser value deal excluded first party Nintendo titles, not Switch titles all together but first party Nintendo titles.

The more you play Bananza, The more you realize how broken this game is. You could beat the whole game without the upgrades and transformations easily. I may do a run of that and record it.

But when it comes to delivering exclusives that can’t be found anywhere else that provide unique experiences, they treat you like a queen.
Do they? I played some Nintendo games since the Switch (few on the GameCube) and nothing besides second party IPs like DS games or Xenoblade stood out (and even then the last two in the series had major faults).

The Nintendo first party IPs are too safe to be memorable for anyone but diehard fans, at least in the past decade or so. The only stand out is the music. The plot is basically non existent (at most fans would argue games have vague "atmosphere"). Gameplay sticks too much for past formulas that worked. Visuals have long gone under passable.

I know that modern gaming is shit, but having the same 20 year old game come repackaged at full retail price with added particle effects is a really low bar.
