Nah, Switch 2 isn't a failure. It sold like gangbusters out of the gate, and even if it doesn't reach the dizzying heights of the Switch 1, it's still done well enough to safely lift it out of range of the Wii U's fate. Of course, if they want to maintain sales, they need more games, and need to do better than Sony has in terms of cranking out exclusives (and/or very good multiplats/ports). They can't afford to ape Sony's missteps with the PS5.

You know, MK World, DK Bananza, Metroid Prime 4, the new Pokemon Legends and Hyrule Warriors, Rhythm Heaven Beyond, and Kirby Air Riders. And that's not mentioning ones that haven't been announced yet.

Course, whether or not you find that lineup appealing will depend on what you are looking for.

On a different note, I gotta say, I really like the way that Dk Bananza paid tribute to DKC2 with the Bramble Country throwback level.

Really great rendition of Stickerbush Symphony imo.

No duh, they're stringing this shit out for years and Gamecube, despite its clickbait youtube fans, doesn't actually have much content to mine. If anything they'll be going to one title every two months soon enough. I mean, Switch 2 is supposed to last 8 years and over its 5 year life Gamecube had loads of droughts. You're going to run out of first party stuff and get reduced to, like, Activision and Ubisoft multiplats by the time 2028 rolls around.
they are never going to drop anything cool like metal arms glitch in the system or twin snakes or geist or prince of persia or PSO.
it wont even be first party games like fire emblem 9 or four swords adventure.

resident evil 4 and RE1 remake already have ports same with metroid prime, thousand years door and pikmen.
what else is there? monkey ball and star fox adventures?

Yeah, I know most people will die for modern graphics for whatever reason but I really think it was a mistake for Nintendo to make the Metroid Prime remaster. I think it would have been in their best interest to release Prime 3 instead and keep Prime 1 and 2 in their original form on Gamecube for NSO. They could have had all three Metroid Prime games out for people to play before Prime 4 releases but whatever, hindsight is 20/20 I guess.

45 min direct tomorrow for Kirby Air Riders.

Personally, I am curious if the usual Sakurai bias will come out in this spinoff and am hoping he doesn't just neglect 90% of Kirby for Superstar, Adventure and Dream Land exclusively. Too many good characters have come since Sakurai's titles to just leave out.

Apparently Switch 2 got almost 6 million into the wild within 7 weeks, selling way more than the original Switch did in it's first month, though I had to get this new report myself just to make sure it's legit (also directly archived for your convenience), they're gonna be more than fine despite all the doom and gloom that has been put around it, maybe people should have practiced what they preached and not buy it, and it's not like they have a giant safety net in the original Switch 1 in terms of revenue to fall back like they did with the Wii U and 3DS and their predecessors.
The problem with that is that 3.5 million of that was the first 4 days. Also, Nintendo shipped 5.8M by the end of June. What the data shows is people that are saying the Switch 2 is losing momentum fast are right.

You know, MK World, DK Bananza, everything else that hasn't been released, yet
That's my point, you retard
And Kirby & Hyrule Warriors are just filler spinoffs
Yeah, but at least with Hyrule Warriors, we have the benefit of immediately writing it off as filler content. But the original Kirby Air Ride was an fun way to kill time, though

Once daddy Nintendo starts cranking out new Mario, Zelda, AC, and other great franchises, they’ll still be uping those console sales. I’m personally waiting on more games that i want to come out before spring for one. I usually don’t pick up a console until at least a few years into it’s life. And i didn’t get a switch until 2019.

I swear 6th gen had to be Nintendo at their best. They still tried to push graphics, but nevertheless largely kept a gameplay first mentality. They experimented with some of their biggest franchises and took risks creating brand new IP. They allowed their mascots to be in 3rd party affairs and to do things they'd never allow them to do now, retaining some adult humor (TTYD's Peach shower scene, Pikmin 2's weed jokes). They weren't nearly as censorious. And at the same time they were still struggling enough financially to correct mistakes and occasionally give fans exactly what they wanted even if it wasn't the most innovative thing.

I think this was the best era for games in general, it was the first time they could make games look like their box art, but they still had hard limits on console capabilities and file sizes, so they couldn't just churn out open world slop like they do today, they still had to make a proper game.

I swear all PETA does is make up dumb shit just to see if they can get the world record of most "who gives a fuck" thoughts provoked simultaneously by a single article.
Bovine nose rings are actually used to force bulls to submit via pain. They're not wrong there. Note that I say "bulls", though. The Mario Kart cow has udders, and thus is not a bull. Therefore her nose ring is the other kind: it's there to help calves wean off their mothers. Conclusion: the Mario Kart cow kept hers in after weaning, as a fashion statement.
