The fujo's will be happy about this. I seriously expected a new mainline mario, they usually come within the first year of a new system.

Are they really gonna end this on a RE game we already knows exist. The big reveal is fire emblem? Really. Why are their so many browns? Like 3/4 main characters shown is some kind of poo.

That's it? The final game was nigger emblem. That's like what three new games over the whole thing. Mario tennis GT, Yoshi and the torah and nigger emblem. Everything else was either, ports, remakes or DLC for games that already exist.

So this Galaxy 2 pack almost has to tank the price of 3D Allstars, right? With Mario 64 on NSO, you're paying $150 on ebay to basically play Super Mario Sunshine.

The Odyssey team made DK, so don't expect a new 3D Mario any time soon (at least 5 years).
Mario Wonder came out in 2023, so a new 2D Mario will still take at least 3 years.

Open world metroid, ninendo really is a decade behind on trends.
One of the best parts of Metroidvania games is the interconnected world design.
An open world that takes you from level to level basically destroy this aspect (as we saw in Elden Ring).
Metroid itself of all games doing this just seems like a bad decision.

This Direct kinda sucked mondo dick, but oh well (:_(

I was hoping I'd have more to say, but the only thing which really caught my interest was that new Tomodachi game. I'm still not sure how to feel about it. The oversaturated colours and zombie-like TTS voices don't give me a whole lot of confidence. There also appears to be more of a management slant with the gameplay, which is equally concerning. The entire appeal of the 3DS game was in seeing whatever random bullshit the game could conjure on its own.

In retrospect, it kind of feels like Tomodachi Life was released in the right place at the right time. Of course, there's gonna be gay shit in this new game, but going beyond the low-hanging fruit I'm not sure how you could translate the gameplay of Tomodachi Life over to the Switch 2 in a way that's intuitive. Granted, I don't know how the mouse controls feel, so maybe it works better than expected.

Why did they even release a new console if they have nothing for it
You know how when a new Xbox comes out, there are only a couple new games and the rest of the library is rounded out with stuff like "Skyrim Re-Re-Re-Remaster: Now With Ray Tracing"? Nintendo is one of those companies now.
