My DS Lites never really lasted 2 years. The thumbpad of my 3DS were always the first to disintegrate. JoyCon drift. One or two of my cubes burned out after several years.

I have 2 ds and one of them is beat up and another is practically mint but still works. My childhood 3DS still works great and my second hand New 2DS XL is still going. Also my 8 year old Switch one still works.

My switch from 2019 still works well. And my PS4 pro still works but I haven’t turned it on in a few years

How does the 3DS thumbpad disintegrate? I have a 3DS that I've owned since 2011 and it's still in good condition despite the pain it's endured over the past 14 years.

The only Nintendo system I've had that is having issues is my DSi and GBA, while my DSi still works mostly well, I've noticed that games have begun to crash a lot more on it compared to my DS Lite. My GBA on the other hand has issues with loading game cartridges, where I have to either mess around with inserting the cartridge in order for the game to correctly load, or just use my DS lite as an alternative.

Heat wave got to it an little bit after the thumbstick under it got locked in place and kind of ruined the plastic frame underneath it. My previous one just had the thumbpad sliding off of it

Some people here don't like the feeling of games and consoles you had as a kid being retro or classic, but I hate the stagnation era we have now. Late Zoomers and Gen-Alphas childhood games are exclusively Fortnite, MK8, Smash Ultimate, and Roblox. You'd think Gen-Alphas would have a bigger library since it's easier than ever to publish a game on a console, and you can buy those "300 games in 1" toys in Walmart for like $40 bucks
