Next on the list of things Nintendo decided to randomly sue: the fucking US government over muh tariffs.

Yeah, good luck with that.

Happy Marten week!

If you haven't already gotten them, the second Mario Rabbids game is on sale for a complete steal. You can get the complete version for about 10 bucks. The first game (Kingdom Battle) is regularly on sale for about 5 bucks, just not today.

They are great games.

It's funny to look at the Mario sale and see the only games on a remotely decent discount are the ones not published by Nintendo. Nintendo just doesn't care how bad their sales are.
THIRTY FIVE BRITISH POUNDS for fucking Super Mario RPG. Mario Odyssey isn't even on sale.

In other news I'm pretty sure I've played more non-Nintendo games on my Switch 2 so far. Risk of Rain Returns and Balatro are on heavy rotation and I think only Balatro is technically locked to Switch 2 so I've basically paid 400 British pounds for a console that's a little snappier and has no new games worth playing.

Unfortunately, I think they know exactly what they’re doing. I miss Nintendo Selects.
Been watching Pokopia streams and the stupid fucking game is making me want to buy a Switch 2. The design hits me in just the right spot. This game alone is gonna sell consoles.
You could get the Switch 1 version?

I know it is just a game-key card, but I am honestly surprised how difficult it is to get a physical copy of Pokopia. Went to Target yesterday and the employees told me Nintendo only gave the location one copy. Went online to try and find a physical at another location and they seem to just not exist, don't think Target even allows you to set up a pickup in store.

Anyway, I got the game and started trying it out. So far it is cute, though haven't gotten very far.

Builders 2 has an 85 opencritic score, while Pokopia has an 88 score.
Pokemon is a better fit for this style of game design, as there are hundreds of them (more open-ended by nature), with better reasons for "different habitats", et cetera. I enjoyed DQ Builders, but Pokopia really does refine the concept. IMO, it's one of the top Pokemon-branded titles ever, which is a low bar, as Game Freak / the Pokemon Company do terribly at managing their chief IP.

Crossposting this from the Mario Movie thread since the final trailer for The Super Mario Galaxy Movie was revealed via a Nintendo Direct.
The main takeaway from the trailer are the new VAs (Donald Glover for Yoshi, Luis Guzman for Wart, and Issa Rae for Honey Queen) and people are assuming that the movie will be the main thing for Mario's 40th Anniversary and that we aren't getting a new game just yet.

Old spice has some Mario themed one of products. Bought the Yoshi one and it smells quite nice. My second favorite is the Luigi one.
I have some of the soaps (both in liquid and bar forms) and I agree with you on the Yoshi one, the Mario bar soap also smells great but your shower/bathtub will look like a crime scene after using it.

The only thing I didn't like about DQB was the constant talking. Like God damn, I just went and placed like ten blocks. It took me thirty seconds. You don't need to come over and interrupt me.

If Pokopia fixed that problem I can see it being a near 10/10.
