Eventually but I don’t expect it any time soon. 1st, it makes everyone who bought the original version feel like fools if they release it too soon. 2nd, the hardware situation in general is fucked, though I don’t know how much that matters if it’s just an OLED upgrade.

Maybe its because it puts unneeded pressure on the people running them with the non-zero chance that a notoriously litigous company like Nintendo will catch wind through a lawyer hired to keep track of sites like it and start preparing a DMCA to kill the fucking site?, leading to the cycle potentially happening all over again to another up and comming ROM site when it becomes the next big one?

If your concern is that Nintendo might catch wind of a ROM site, you should practice what you preach and stop naming the ROM site retard. Nintendo already knows the website exists anyways since they've litigated against Vimm's Lair before. The point is to laugh at the dumbasses who willingly give Nintendo money to rent a worse experience than what you can get for free on better hardware.

Anyways if there are Nintendo ninjas lurking in this thread, consider restoring some good faith by donating to the Kiwi Farms legal fund, I hear they even like Nintendo games!

I understand that, which is why I have tried not to do so outside of the dedicated thread for it, where that is the main topic and also not named after the device Nintendo wants you to buy for the inferior experience they want you to have compared to what you can get elsewhere unless it was actually relevant to the topic like a ROM site being shut down by Nintendo since.

I'm also not making several posts self-flaggating myself about having the better experience and outright posting screencaps of ROM site pages where the download button is right there for everyone to see, even in examples where said site was a previous target like you said because I know the benefits and use them too, but I know when it is the time to shut up and keep quiet on where to get it for free.

Inflation is killing everything, and yen in Japan is incredibly weak. Then add in all the big tech craziness, like the shortages on top of it. Generally speaking, the cost of the system is fairly reasonable, it is really the games that catch people off-guard, though it seems gaming in general is heading towards $70 games.

Yes, I am sure Ninty is also being greedy, but there is a lot more going on even past that.

I don’t think GameFreak is even the problem. The entire business model of Pokémon was unsustainable past the DS. Games take more time, but more time isn’t what they have when your entire model is aligning projects like the anime, the movies, the card game, merchandise, and numerous other things with game releases on an assembly line structure. The team needs control of the property to make the games good. The days of shooting out entries every other year are simply not feasible in the modern day. And no, I don’t think expanding the hiring would make things better, there are studios with way bigger teams that still cannot pump things out in less than 6 years. If anything, you just end up with too many cooks in the kitchen.

Pokopia is a spinoff that likely got to be a developer passion project compared to the main series. Pokémon as a whole would need to remove the business model to allow the main series the leeway to even attempt anything like it.

Nigger, it's an JRPG. Aside from the new shit being coded in, the only thing that that's holding them up, nowadays is the environmental and character design parts of it

yes, we already knew the game had tranny BS in it. But the new demo confirms the game even lets you choose pronouns separate from your gender.

So you can have a “Male” character who uses “she/they” pronouns for extra absurdity.
