You are arguing with a person suffering from a severe case of "must be right syndrome." I didn't want to shit up the thread by responding to your previous post calling him out (I was going to congratulate you then warn you not to expect any kind of acknowledgement of any error or inaccuracy from this type of personality) but I wish I had, because I was also going to predict this exact kind of response from him (an attempted nitpick at something that might superficially look like an error if you're not paying attention (or stupid) but is clearly not actually an error, simply because he must prove you are more wrong than he is at all costs).

It's entertaining to watch the exchange, but I wouldn't suggest getting invested in it. He's got a read-only mind and isn't going to be changing his opinions or admitting any errors. He's here to lecture, not converse. Staying engaged with him will just wear you out with no real benefit to you.
I've encountered plenty of "must be rights" over the years, but it's been a long time since I've come across someone who geuinely cannot put together any kind of coherent argument.

What order would you recommend someone buy Switch 2 games if they have a decent Switch 1 library?
1) Game they most want.
2) Game they second most want.
3) etc.

Or if you are asking me either Pokopia or Donkey Kong Bonanza followed by a used copy of Mario Kart World like six months later, Kirby with the expansion if they don't have it already and by that time the OoT remake should be coming out. Bear in mind that I put something like 200 hours into DQB2 and would hope for the same from Pokopia.

If you are just talking about games, Kirby Air Riders is the best Switch 2 game by far and seems severely overlooked in this thread, likely due to its niche. Sakurai finally designed something not Smash related, and as always, put 100% into the ordeal.

After that, it is a toss up. Bananza will be mentioned, but I personally view it as a less fun Odyssey. The break mechanics add a little too much freedom to the game and the world design just isn’t as memorable as Odyssey because of it. Besides the end, Bananza lacks that punch Odyssey had.

Pokopia is very good if you want an Animal Crossing / Minecraft hybrid. Your mileage will be based around how much you like creative / design sandboxes.

Mario Kart World is my personal recommendation for a second game. I love the newfound chaotic nature of it with its 24 racers and Wacky Races premise. The trick mechanics have never been better, making the game have a nice bounce and wide array of options. Open World provides decent content, including a large sum of challenges that feel very DS Mission Mode.

Mario Tennis Fever is fun, but it is a Mario Tennis game, so it wears its welcome. Great roster and probably the best gimmick of the series. If it wasn’t for the lack-luster Story Mode, it would be pretty much flawless for the type of game it is.

I would say: Kirby Air Riders > Mario Kart World > Pokopia > Donkey Kong Bananza > Mario Tennis Fever

Currently playing through upgraded Wonder, which is also a very strong recommends for either the game or DLC upgrade. Mission mode is fun and I love the Koopaling battles.

Another fuck you from Bethesda.

Jeeze when I first played Animal Crossing it was a slow drip of new stuff over the course of two yeara, and on the second playthrough it's dumping everything all at once. In the first week I saw Redd, Celeste, unlocked the museum, nooks cranny, the tailor shop, swimming was unlocked from the start but they don't tell you, I met the sailor seagull, the pirate seagull, had the may day tour, and now this week they unlocked the boat, a hotel (that's new I knew nothing about it) and now Blathers asked me to go look for Brewster so I can unlock the cafe. Plus I still need to finish rearranging my island this weekend now that I unlocked paths and the water permit

Bananza is just not a fun game. The banana hunts are way more obnoxious and derivative than moons in Odyssey. Getting all the moons on Odyssey required using various skills and challenges; in Bananza you just get the most powerful inhaling skill in elephant mode and just suck as hard as you can as long as you can. The various babbling from Pauline is not interesting. It’s better just to turn off the audio altogether and listen to a podcast.

Is Mario kart or Kirby more fun?
Depends on what you are looking for.

Mario Kart is definitely the better multiplayer game, Kirby the better singleplayer.

Also depends on if you want a racer or an arcade game. Kirby is more about maximizing how you play, while World is traditional Mario Kart racing. Karts in Mario are relatively similar with minor changes, whereas Kirby is radically different styles between karts and characters.

Mario Kart has a nice open world with plenty of small challenges to complete. It is arguably bigger in scale to Kirby with a lot more variety compared to the checklist of same assets Kirby provides. However, Kirby is very solid in what it includes and is no slouch on content either. Easiest way to put it, Kirby has like 1/2 the content of World, but that 1/2 is highly polished. Kirby is also better in terms of customization, much more freedom to design your ride.

I personally prefer Air Riders, but Mario Kart is probably the one with more bang-for-your-buck, much longer playtime.

I’ve been watching online marketplaces and have started seeing more people selling used switch 2s. When the switch 1 was still basically new, I snagged a switch with mario odyssey for $275. Maybe when they release a switch 2.5 edition or something people will need to fund it somehow:optimistic:

otherwise I can’t justify the price just to play pokopia

I can't speak for Air Ride. Mario Kart World is not horrible, they just followed up a 10/10 game with a 7/10 game and are charging more money for it.

The music, physics, graphics, art direction, etc. are all great, but it has some of the least memorable track design in the series. Not terrible... just not very memorable. It feels like they all kind of bleed together when you play it and are lacking in the unique character a lot of standout tracks in previous games had. I also find the game very busy. Besides the fact there are 32 racers at a time now and they all have items, there's a lot of other stuff happening like hammer bros attacking you from the backs of pickup trucks and stuff. Some people may like how chaotic it is. I'm not going to say don't buy it because I know you will eventually if you own a Switch 2. I am going to say I don't know if it's worth $100 CAD and get it in a black Friday sale or used or something if you can.

Looks at my very physical multi-terabyte XHD loaded with roms, something I own, and that goytendo can never shut down the servers on or restrict my access to it via a rent-forever (subscription) tax.

Standard MS practice- they hate physical, hate ownership.
They all do. Your entertainment monopolists, your congress critters, your unelected bankerberg currency printers. They all do.
