Pepsi released a drink in March 2022. Pepsi introduced the beverage on its website: "Introducing Nitro Pepsi, the first-ever nitrogen-infused cola – it’s more than just a cola, it's an experience."

There are two flavors: Draft Cola (Which is just regular Pepsi) and Vanilla Draft Cola. If anyone has tried it, what are your thoughts and opinions on it?

"it’s more than just a cola, it's an experience"

Reminds me of how Zuckerberg was emphasizing the "experience" of that "Metaverse" thing.

(also the soda name reminds me of a fuel additive lol)
Yeah, it has an interesting name.

I might buy a can at my local store and try it. I'm interested in this "experience".

I tried it and I vaguely remember it being underwhelming. I don't think it had the "creaminess" of the last nitro beer I remember having.

If it goes on sale to $1 a can, give it a shot. But I think you will be disappointed.

I think it's currently $2 a can, though I'm not completely sure about that.

I still remember when a can of soda was 50 cents at a vending machine.

(this was in the late '90s)
The prices have and will continue to get higher overtime, that's how it's always been.

So I assume it's like those nitro lattes but without the milk. I've only seen it in one store. And I'm not buying a case of regular soda. Ick.

My brother and I have tried it. It's alright, a bit underwhelming in taste and the nitrogen is more for a gimmick than anything else. The nitrogen also removes the typical soda fizz so it might seems like you're drinking a flat one. Personally I prefer the vanilla one over the normal one for that reason. The extra flavir kinda masks it and, IMO, goes better with a non-fizzy soda.

My roommate bought some for some insane reason and gave it to me because he didn't like it.

It's vile. Tastes like straight sugar. If you look at the nutrition labels for a regular pepsi vs nitro pepsi, it's not surprising that it's so sweet, because normal pepsi has like 40 g of sugar and nitro pepsi has ~60g. Who thought pepsi needed even more sugar than it already had?

More like those nitro lattes but with soda instead of lattes.

The nitrogen will probably give it a different sort of texture, which intrigues me.

Yeah, it has a fuck-ton of sugar in it. It'd probably have an interesting taste, though.

Honestly I like it, especially the vanilla flavor. Just follow the instructions and pour it into a separate cup as it says to do so on the can itself.
Don't really drink it often, if at all anymore because it's nearly $2 a can and in some areas over $2, so not really worth it, really, plus it's goyslop so I'm good with just water.

You're probably the first person in this thread to defend it.

I tried those at an airport because I was curious. Tastes like stale soda without bubbles, 0/10 would not try again.

Half the reason I drink Pepsi is because of the crispy acidic bubbles rotting away at my mouth. Tried this once, was not good. I still see it in grocery stores, though. I wonder if theyre having trouble getting rid of them.

Last time I checked, my local corner store had a fuck-ton of these

I'm usually up for gimmick sodas but I wasn't really a fan. Just tasted like flat-ish cola.

If they'd bring back the cinnamon one I'd buy the hell out of it as long as they didn't fancy defizz it like this though. That shit was up there with Cranberry Canada Dry for me as far as favorite alternate flavors of liquid crack go.

Drank a can and did a big ol double-take when I read how much goddamn sugar was in the entire thing.

Delicious, at least the vanilla variant, but unless they come out with a severely de-sugared variant it's a dental nightmare in a can.
