The more I think about it, the Trial of Tyce is starting to look like an elaborate screenplay that he wanted to complete so he could play with Tyce again. Jace had already decided on the outcome, FAN was there just to agree with him.

That's the consensus. And no matter how much Tyce continues to troll Jace he still forgives him because he longs for the good old days of having real friends / juggalo companions paid in weed. I think Jace enjoys the gamer part of his personality because while it may not be a grand as parkour wounded veteran future rape survivor ptsd marine battle stoner of the battlefield, it is in some way grounded in reality. And while 100% of his fanbase are trolls, it's not exactly the same situation as other lolcows like moleman, where it's purely hostile. We genuinely enjoy the autistic adventures of Jace Connors, just not for reasons he'd like, but I think we are 'fans' if ironic ones. The gamer identity also helps fuel his online trolls like gamerfood, which feeds into his real life delusions of having an important interesting life which he absolutely enjoys to some extent.
