Get an old flagship secondhand. The Galaxy S5s and S6s are still good.

Ever since EVGA's thermal pad screw up on the Pascal cards, I've been leery of their products. Want to upgrade to a 2060 Super, but need to make sure EVGA isn't having thermal pad issues with Turing. Probably going with a Gigabyte card, but like to keep my options open. Seems almost everyone else forgot this issue, so can't find much.

I know I could just put pads on myself, but too lazy. Oh right, questions. Did EVGA learn from the thermal pad issue on the 1070s and 1080's?

I use my phone a lot, so most important thing is battery life. I'd also like to take nice photos with my phone for once. I text a lot, rarely do calls, browse the web often, occasionally play a game. I don't listen to music on my phone so I guess a lot of space isn't super necessary. I don't like iOS, so an Android or something similar is preferred. I don't need the newest, most expensive phone available, just a newer phone of good quality. I'm also a klutz so while I would be getting a case, a sturdy phone would still be nice.

I'm actually upgrading from an S5. It's a good phone, mine is just beat up and I'd like something different this time around.

A Moto G or X is good for battery life, though I'm not so sure about the camera.

X is the higher end one, G the lower.

I forgot to mention, the Moto E5 or E6 are even lower budget options, which you can get unlocked at Walmart. You can select a carrier, and you can unlock the bootloader via developer options. It's a good, cheap phone for Android development.
 
is there a way to clean usb ports?
Mine are going weird and seems like the easiest thing would be to clean them

Seems to have a couple of different model numbers: 2CR5, DL245, EL2CR5, RL2CR5 - search for that and add battery.

What's the deal with the volume slider on the Bitchute video player? Sometimes the volume button disappears. Is there a way to fix it?
 
Does a 'recommendations' thread exist?
I can't seem to find anything enjoyable, wanna know if I'm picky or it's depression. Willing to try non English music/ films if their good/ decent.

Watch 'Bad Genius', a Thai movie. It's like a heist movie set in high-school. Surprisingly good and the small differences in cultural touchstones made it refreshing, it was both familiar and new at the same time.
 
Question: should I update to windows 10?

backstory; I am on windows 7 and have been since win7 was a thing, I always told myself I would move to 10 but it kept getting shitty headlines, first the metro UI was a mess, then it was some games won’t work due to the weird walled garden HTML5 crap, then it was updates you cannot stop and lastly it’s the fucking huge backdoor that was found a few weeks ago.

FYI this for my gaming rig, I have a MacBook for srs biz nez

What I heard is you should do a clean install to Win10, rather than updating.

Unrelated: How would you use very cheap used server hardware to produce an absurdly overpowered CGI, Android programming, and gaming workstation?
